பிஜேபியின் தலைவர்கள் காங்கிரஸ் போல் அரசியல் பண்ண தெரியவில்லை. காலியான கஜானாவை பற்றியும்,இந்திய ரயில்வேயின் மட்டமான நிதி நிலைமைப் பற்றியும் ஒரு வெள்ளை அறிக்கையை சமர்ப்பித்து மக்களுக்கு தெருவித்துவிட்டு, தங்கள் பட்ஜெட்டை தாக்கல் செய்திருந்தால், பழி காங்கிரசுக்கும் நற்பெயர் தங்களுக்கும் கிடைத்திருக்கும். கீழேயுள்ள கதையிலுள்ள சாப்ட்வேர் எஞ்ஜினியர் போல் ஒரு கல்லில் இரண்டு மாங்காய் கிடைத்திருக்கும்.

கொஞ்ச நேரத்திலேயே நமது எஞ்ஜினியருக்கும், அந்த யுவதிக்கும் இடையில் பார்வை பரிமாற்றங்கள் தொடங்கியது. சிறிது நேரத்தில் ரயில் ஒரு குகைப் பாதையில் நுழைந்தது.
உள்ளே மையிருட்டு. அப்பொழுது ஒரு முத்தமிடும் சத்தம் கேட்டது. தொடர்ந்து ஒரு அறை விழும் சத்தமும் கேட்டது.ரயில் சிறிது நேரத்தில் குகைப் பாதையிலிருந்து வெளி வந்த பொழுது, நால்வரும் அவரவரிடத்தில் அமைதியாக அமர்ந்திருந்தனர்.
பாட்டி மனதிற்குள் நினைத்தார், “அந்த பையனுக்கு ஆனாலும் ரொம்ப திமிரு.என் பேத்திக்கு முத்தம் கொடுக்கிறானே படவா! ஆனாலும் என் பேத்தி பரவாயில்லை. உடனே அவனை அறைஞ்சுட்டாள்.
”ப்ராஜக்ட் மேனேஜர் மனதிற்குள், “இந்த பயலுக்கு இப்படி முத்தம் கொடுக்கற அளவுக்கு தைரியம் இருக்கும்னு தோனலையே!! ஆனாலும் அதற்காக அந்த பெண் என்னை அறைஞ்சிருக்க வேண்டாம்!!!

Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple – History
History :
The temple and the island of Rameswaram have acquired this name because, Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva, the God of Gods here on return from Sri Lanka. According to legend, after killing Ravana Lord Rama returned with his consort Goddess Seetha to India first stepping on the shores of Rameswaram. To expiate the "dosha" of killing a brahmin, Lord Rama wanted to offer worship to Lord Shiva. Since there was no shrine in the island had despatched Sri Hauman to Kailash to bring an idol of Lord Shiva.
Between 1897 and 1904, the ALAR family of Devakottai completed the imposing eastern tower of nine tiers 126 feet in height from Thiruppani funds. Between 1907 and 1925 they renovated the Sanctum Sanctorum and the prakaram(inner most corridor) by replacing the lime stones by black granite with adequate provision for light and ventilation and also arranged for the performance of Ashtabandana Kumbabishekam in 1925; then on 22-2-1947 and the third Ashtabandana Maha Kumbabishegam was performed on 5-2-1975.

Height of Corridor – 22 feet 7 ½ inch
Second Corridor :
During the construction of first corridor, it was decided to renovate the second corridor. The lime stone structure in Second corridor was dismantled and started granited stone work. But only compound wall in west side and one portion in north side of western wing in south gate was renovate. After that no Renovation work as done.
Therefore, it was proposed to complete the Renovation work of Second Corridor by collecting Funds from the public. Between 1961 to 1985, the Renovation work of Second Corridor was taken up and completed the western side of Second Corridor and a portion in North and South side, from the Temple Renovation Fund. Now it has been proposed to complete the Renovation of Second Corridor which has been unfinished and the Renovation work is started now.
The Sethupathy mandapam in front of the Temple’s Raja Gopuram9main Tower) was constructed by Ramanatha Sethupathy, a descendant of Ramnad Raja dynasty, with his own donation of Rs. 2,75,000 /-. This construction was started on 19-11-69 and completed on 11-2-74.
It is also most essential to construct the North and South Gopurams. Shri Jagadguru Sringeri Peedathipathy and Shri jagadguru Kanchi Kamakoti Peedathipathy have given their kind blessings for the constructions of the North and South Gopurams of the Temple.

Hindu history of Afghanistan- Forgotten Facts

Hindu history of Afghanistan
Afghanistan" comes from "Upa-Gana-stan" Raja Jaya Pal Shahi, Ruler of Punjab bore the brunt of the Islamic Onslaught.
The year 980C.E. marks the beginning of the Muslim invasion into India proper when Sabuktagin attacked Raja Jaya Pal in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is today a Muslim country separated from India by another Muslim country Pakistan. But in 980 C.E. Afghanistan was also a place where the people were Hindus and Buddhists.
The name "Afghanistan" comes from "Upa-Gana-stan" which means in Sanskrit "The place inhabited by allied tribes".
This was the place from where Gandhari of the Mahabharat came from Gandhar whose king was Shakuni. The Pakthoons are descendants of the Paktha tribe mentioned in Vedic literature. Till the year 980 C.E., this area was a Hindu majority area, till Sabuktagin from Ghazni invaded it and displaced the ruling Hindu king – Jaya Pal Shahi.
The place where Kabul’s main mosque stands today was the site of an ancient Hindu temple and the story of its capture is kept alive in Islamic Afghan legend which describes the Islamic hero Sabuktagin who fought with a sword in every hand to defeat the Hindus and destroy their temple to put up a Mosque in its place.
The victory of Sabuktagin pushed the frontiers of the Hindu kingdom of the Shahis from Kabul to behind the Hindu Kush mountains Hindu Kush is literally "killer of Hindus" – a name given by Mahmud Ghazni to describe the number of Hindus who died on their way into Afghanistan to a life of captivity . After this setback, the Shahis shifted their capital from Kubha (Kabul) to Udbhandapura (modern Und in NWFP). Sabuktagin’s son Mahmud Ghazni, kept up the attacks on the Shahis and captured Und. Subsequently, the Shahis moved their capital to Lahore and later to Kangra in Himachal.

The recovery and significance of the inscription, telling a story of the Hindu ruler Veka and his devotion to lord `Siva’, was told by leading epigraphist and archaeologist Prof Ahmad Hasan Dani of the Quaid-E-Azam University of Islamabad at the ongoing Indian History Congress here.
If historians, preferred to revise the date of the first Hindu Shahi ruler Kallar from 843-850 AD to 821-828 AD, the date of 138 of present inscription, if it refers to the same era, should be equal to 959 AD which falls during the reign of Bhimapala”, Dani said in a paper `Mazar-i Sharif inscription of the time of the Shahi ruler Veka, dated the year 138”, submitted to the Congress.
The inscription, with eleven lines written in `western Sarada’ style of Sanskrit of 10th century AD, had several spelling mistakes. “As the stone is slightly broken at the top left corner, the first letter `OM’ is missing”, he said.
According to the inscription, "the ruler Veka occupied by eight-fold forces, the earth, the markets and the forts. It is during his reign that a temple of Siva in the embrace with Uma was built at Maityasya by Parimaha (great) Maitya for the benefit of himself and his son”.
Dani said “the inscription gives the name of the king as Shahi Veka Raja and bestows on him the qualification of `Iryatumatu Ksanginanka’…. and (he) appears to be the same king who bears the name of Khingila or Khinkhila who should be accepted as a Shahi ruler”.
Dani further said “he may be an ancestor of Veka deva. As his coins are found in Afghanistan and he is mentioned by the Arab ruler Yaqubi, he may be an immediate predecessor of Veka deva…… Both the evidences of inscription and coins suggest that Veka or Vaka should be accepted as an independent ruler of northern Afghanistan.
"Thus we find another branch of the Shahi ruler in northern part of Afghanistan beyond the Hindukush. Veka is said to have conquered the earth, the markets and the forts by his eight-fold forces, suggesting that he must have himself gained success against the Arab rulers of southern Afghanistan”.
Dani observed that going by the findings it seemed that during the rule of the Hindu Shahi ruler Bhimapala there was a break in the dynasty — one branch, headed by Jayapala, ruled in Lamaghan and Punjab, and another branch, headed by Veka, ruled in northern part of Afghanistan.
"The northern branch must have come to an end by the conquest of Alptigin in the second half of tenth century AD”, he said.

உண்மையும்,விஞ்ஞான ரீதியாக ஒத்துக்கொண்ட விடயமும் என்னவென்றால் முட்டையையும் பாலையும் பாம்பு குடிக்காது. பின்னர் எதற்கு புற்றுக்குள் பால் ஊற்றுகிறார்கள்? ஆதி காலத்தில் மனிதனுக்கு பெரிய பிரச்சனையாக இருந்தது பாம்புகள். காரணம் அடர்ந்த காடுகள்,மனித நடமாட்டம் மிக மிக குறைவு.மனிதனை விட பாம்புகள் அதிகம் காணப்பட்டது . ஒரு உயிரினத்தை கொல்லும் உரிமை இந்து சமயத்தை பின்பற்றும் மக்களுக்கு இல்லை.அப்போது அவர்கள் அனைத்தையும் மதித்தார்கள்.ஆகவே அதனை கொல்லாமல் அதன் இனப்பெருக்கத்தை கட்டுப்படுத்த முயன்றனர். பாம்புகள் இனப்பெருக்கம் மேற்கொள்வது மிகவும் வித்தியாசம். பெண் பாம்பு தான் உடலில் இருந்து ஒரு வித வாசனை திரவத்தை(பரோமோன்ஸ்) அனுப்பும் . அதனை நுகர்ந்து ஆண் பாம்பு பெண் பாம்பை தேடி வரும். இதன் முழுமையான காரணம் சொன்னால் நிச்சயம் ஒருவரும் பின்பற்ற மாட்டார்கள். அதனாலேயே பயமுறுத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. |

1. Fastest train in India: New Delhi-Bhopal Shatabdi Express is the fastest train in India. The all air-conditioned superfast train clocks a maximum speed of 150km/h on the Faridabad-Agra section. It also has the highest commercial speed – 89.87 km/h- and covers the 704 km New Delhi – Bhopal stretch in 7 hours 50 minutes.
2. Slowest train in India: Metupalayam Ooty Nilgiri Passenger which runs at a speed of 10kmph, 15 times slower than fastest running train. Since this train runs in hilly region there are speed limits to comply. The one that comes close is Pratapnagar-Jambusar passenger, with a maximum speed of 12km/h and an average speed of 11km/h. It takes 4 hrs for a journey of 44 km.
3. Longest run by a train: Vivek Express from Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari travels a distance of 4273 km, making it the longest run in terms of total time and distance in Indian Railways.
4. Shortest run by a train: Scheduled services between Nagpur and Ajni stations situated just 3km from each other – primarily meant for crew to travel from Nagpur station to the workshop at Ajni.
5. Longest non-stop travel: Trivandrum – H. Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express travels the 528km stretch between Vadodara and Kota non-stop. In second place is the Mumbai Rajdhani Express that travels nonstop between New Delhi and Kota.
6. Longest station name: Venkatanarasimharajuvaripeta on the Arakkonam-Renigunta section near Chennai.
7. Shortest station name: Ib, near Jharsuguda in Odisha and Od, near Anand in Gujarat.
8. Trains with most stops: The record for maximum number of stops by an Express/Mail train is held by Howrah – Amritsar Express 115 halts, followed by Delhi – Howrah Janata Express 109 halts and Jammu Tawi – Sealdah Express 99 halts.
9. Least punctual train: Guwahati-Trivandrum Express is said to be the most unreliable long-distance train in the country. The charted journey time is 65 hours and 5 minutes, but the average delay on a trip is about 10-12 hours.
10. Two stations at same location: Srirampur and Belapur are two different stations in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra which are both at the same location on the railway route but on opposite sides of the track.
11. Most powerful locomotive: Electric locomotive WAG-9 used for hauling heavy freight rakes is the most powerful locomotive in Indian Railways’ fleet. The 6,350 horsepower beast is homed at Gomoh, Ajni, Lallaguda, Tughlakabad and Bhilai. Modified version of WAG-9 named WAP 7 is IR’s workhouse for high speed passenger service. It is capable of hauling 24 coach trains at speeds ranging between 140 and 160 km per hour. WAP-7 has similar horsepower as that of WAG-9 but comes with modified gear ratios for faster> acceleration.
12. Last stations in North-South-East-West direction: Northernmost railway station is Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir. Westernmost is Naliya near Bhuj in Gujarat. Southernmost railway station is Kanyakumari, while the last station on the east of India is Ledo on branch line from Tinsukia.

Junction with most number of routes originating from it: Mathura junction with 7 routes- Broad Gauge (BG) line to Agra Cantt, BG line to Bharatpur, BG line to Alwar, BG line to Delhi, Metre Gauge (MG) line to Achnera, MG line to Vrindavan and MG line to Hathras, Kasganj. Six route junction – Bhatinda. Five route junctions – Lucknow, Guntakal, Katni, Varanasi, Kanpur Central, Villupuram, Dabhoi, and Nagpur.
14. Most number of parallel tracks/ Three gauges at one station: Seven parallel tracks between Bandra Terminus and Andheri – 10km. Siliguri station on NFR holds the distinction of having three different gauges present.
15. Busiest station: Lucknow, with 64 trains per day.
16. Longest Platform: Indian Railways owns the longest railway platform in the world at Kharagpur (West Bengal) with a length of 2,733 ft (1072.5 m) in length.
17. Oldest Working Locomotive: Indian Railways still has the oldest preserved locomotive in working order, the Fairy Queen which was made way back in 1855. It is the oldest functioning steam engine in the world, which finds a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and got Heritage Award at the International Tourist Bureau, Berlin in March 2000.
18. First Railroad: The first railroad was constructed by two Indians (Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy and Jaganath Shunkerseth) and not the British.
19. Labor Force: Indian Railways is the world’s ninth largest commercial or utility employer, by number of employees, with over 1.4 million employees. It is also the India’s largest employer.
20. Railway Network: Though it is commonly believed, India doesn’t have the largest railway network in the World. India comes fourth with approx. 64,000 km of railroad after US, Russia, and China. If the tracks were to be laid out from one point to another around the equator, it would circle it one-and-a-half times.
21. Steam Locomotives: The manufacture of steam locomotives in the country was stopped in 1972.
22. Distance Covered: The total distance covered by the 14,300 trains daily on the Indian Railways daily equals three & half times the distance to moon.
23. Lavatory: Toilets on trains were first introduced in 1891 in 1st class and in 1907 in lower classes.
24. Air Cooling: Air Cooling was first introduced in 1st class coaches in 1874 in Great Indian Peninsular Railway
25. Longest Tunnel: The country’s longest tunnel is Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel 11.215 km that was completed in December 2012 in Jammu and Kashmir. The tunnel is yet to become functional railway route. Karbude on Konkan Railways, which is 6.5 km in length previously held the title for the longest tunnel in India.
26. Underground Railway: First Underground Railway that was opened for public use was
Calcutta Metro.
27. Computerized Reservations: First Reservation through the computer System commenced in New Delhi in the year 1986.
28. Electric Trains: First Electric coach ran on the 3rd February 1925 between Bombay VT and Kurla stations
29. Palace on Wheels: Indians were not allowed to board the Palace on Wheels luxury train for quite a while when it was launched on Republic Day of 1982.
30. Worst Rail Disaster: In the Bihar train disaster on June 6, 1981, a passenger train carrying 800 or more passengers between Mansi and Saharsa, derailed and plunged into the river Bagmati while it was crossing a bridge. After five days, more than 200 bodies were recovered, with hundreds more missing that were feared washed away by the river. Estimates of total deaths range from 500 to 800 or more. It was the worst Indian rail disaster.
31. Passenger Load: TheIndian Railways (IR) carries over 25 million passengers daily which is perhaps more than the entire population of Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania put together. Annually Indian Railways ferries 7.2 billion passengers (nearly 6x India’s current population).
32. Total Number of Trains: Indian Railways runs as many as 19,000 trains every day. Some 12,000 trains are for passengers and 7,000 for freight.
33. Number of Stations: The whole network has 7,083 stations
34. Age: Indian Railways has had an operation span of nearly 170 years.
35. Fares: Even after recent hike, fares on long distance journeys on the IR can be considered cheapest in the world. For instance, 1,500 km journey on Delhi-Kolkata route by Kalka Mail costs around Rs 250. A similar journey would cost 10x more on any budget train in Europe which boasts of strong rail transport.
36. Transit Trains: Mumbai’s local trains are amongst the world’s few to have 15 coaches. Shanghai’s local trains come close with 12 coaches.
37. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus: CST in Mumbai caters to 33 million passengers annually and is the only terminus in the world to be listed as a monument of global heritage by UNESCO.
38. Oldest Operational Track: Ever since its origin in 1853, the rail service in India never turned back making it one of the oldest track in the world.
39. Revenue: Indian Railways collected Rs.581 Crores in fines + charges on ticketless travel in during the financial year 2011-12.
40. Rail Museum: The National Rail Museum in Delhi set up in 1977 is a one of the unique museums in Asia. Sprawled over an area of 11 acres the museum has collections like antique steam engines, locomotives, models, carriages, photographs among other things. There are live exhibits as well as working and non-working models. The added attraction is the toy train which runs across the museum.
41. Longest Bridge: Vembanad Rail Bridge 4.62 km in length in the state of Kerala connects connecting Edappally and Vallarpadam in Kochi. It is the longest rail bridge in India and it is dedicated solely for freight.
42. Sea Bridge: India’s first sea bridge, the Pamban Bridge is a cantilever bridge on the Palk Strait. It connects Rameshwaram on Pamban Island (Tamil Nadu) to mainland India.
43. Rail-cum-Road Bridge: Saraighat Bridge (1,492 m) is the first rail-cum-road bridge constructed over the Brahmaputra River in Guwahati, Assam. It was opened to passenger traffic in June 1963.
44. Dapoorie Viaduct (1854) on the Mumbai-Thane route is the first railway bridge in India.
45. Pre-Independence: About 42 Railway companies operated in the country before Independence.
46. Highest Bridge: The world’s highest rail bridge being constructed over Chenab river in Jammu & Kashmir’s Reasi district (Chenab Bridge) will be ready by December, 2015. Coming up at Kauri, it will be 359 meters (1,180 feet) above the riverbed (five times the height of Qutub Minar and 35 metres taller than Eiffel Tower). Also Anjikhad Railway Bridge to be completed in 2015 in Katra, Jammu-Kashmir is going to be the 4th highest in the world at 186 meters (610 feet). Stretching across a length of 424 metres, the bridge on the Panval River in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra is currently the tallest bridge in India.
47. First Rail Tunnel: Parsik Tunnel (1865) near Thaane is India’s first rail tunnel.
48. World Record: Delhi station entered Guinness book of world records for having the world’s largest route relay interlocking system.
49. Property: Indian Railways have approximately 10.65 lakh acre of land. About 90 per cent of this land is under Railway’s operational and allied usages. The total vacant land, at present is about 1.13 lakh acre.

கணேச பஞ்சரத்னம்
1.முதாகராத்தமோதகம் ஸதா விமுக்திஸாதகம்
கலாதராவதம்ஸகம் விலாஸிலோகரக்ஷகம்
அநாயகைகநாயகம் விநாசிதேபதைத்யகம்
நதாசுபாசுநாசகம் நமாமி தம் விநயகம்.
மனம் மகிழ்ந்து, கையில் மோதகம் ஏந்தி, எப்போழுதும் மோக்ஷம் நல்குபவரான விநாயகரை வணங்குகிறேன். அவர் சந்திரப்பிறை அணிந்தவர். அமைதிகொண்டோரைக்காப்பவர். துணையற்றவருக்கு துணையானவர். யானையரக்கனைக் கொன்று வணங்கியவரை குறைதீர்த்துக்காப்பவர்.
2.நதேதராதிபீகரம் நவோதிதார்கபாஸ்வரம்
நமத்ஸுராரிநிர்ஜரம் நதாதிகாபதுத்தரம்
ஸுரேச்வரம் நிதீச்வரம் கஜேச்வரம் கணேச்வரம்

வணங்காதவருக்கு விநாயகர் பயமானவர். உதித்தெழும் சூரியன் போல் விளங்குகின்றார் அவர். தேவரும் அசுரரும் அவரை வணங்க, வணங்கியவரின் தீயதைப் போக்கி, தேவர்களுக்கும், நவநிதிரளுக்கும், கஜாஸுரனுக்கும், கணங் களுக்கும் தலைமை தாங்கி பரம்பொருளாய் நிற்கும் அவரை எக்கணமும் சரணமடைகிறேன்.
3.ஸமஸ்தலோகதங்கரம் நிரஸ்ததைத்யகுஞ்சரம்
தரேதரோதரம் வரம் வரேபவக்த்ரமக்ஷரம்
க்ருபாகரம் க்ஷமாகரம் முதாகரம் யசஸ்கரம்
மநஸ்கரம் நமஸ்க்ருதாம் நமஸ்கரோமி பாஸ்வரம்
கஜாஸுரனை அழித்து அகில உலகுக்கும் க்ஷேமத்தைச் செய்தவர் விநாயகர். அவர் மேலும் பருத்த தொந்தியும், சிறந்த யானைமுகமும் கொண்டவர். கருணை புரிபவர். பொருமையானவர். மகிழ்ச்சி, தோன்ற புகழ்சேர்ப்பவர். வணங்கியவருக்கு நன் மனம் தந்து விளங்கும் அவரை வணங்குகின்றேன்.
4.அகிஞ்சநார்திமார்ஜநம் சிரந்தநோக்த்திபாஜநம்
புராரிபூர்வநந்தநம் ஸுராரிகர்வசர்வணம்
ப்ரபஞ்சநாசபீஷனம் தநஞ்ஜாதிபூஷணம்
கபோலதாநவாரணம் பஜே புராணவாரணம்
ஏழைகளின் துன்பத்தைத் துடைத்து உபநிஷதங்கள் போற்ற நிற்பவர்.பரமசிவனின் மூத்தமகனாய் அசுரர்களின் கர்வத்தை அடக்கியவர். மதஜலம் பெருகும் பழம்பெரும் வாரணமுகத்தவனை வணங்குகிறேன்.
5.நிதாந்த காந்ததந்த காந்தி மந்தகாந்தகாத்மஜம்
அசிந்த்யரூபமந்த ஹீநமந்தராயக்ருந்தநம்
ஹ்ருதந்தரே நிரந்தரம் வஸந்தமேவ யோகிநாம்
தமேகதந்தமேவ தம் விசிந்தயாமி ஸந்ததம்
மிக அழகான தந்தங்களைக் கொண்டவர். யமனை அடக்கிய பரமசிவனின் புதல்வர். எண்ணுதற்கரிய உருவம் கொண்டவர். முடிவில்லாதவர். இடையூறுகளைத் தகர்பவர். யோகிகளின் மனதில் குடிகொண்டவரான அந்த ஏகதந்தரை எப்பொழுதும் தியானம் செய்கிறேன்.

இந்த கணேச பஞ்சரத்னத்தை எவன் தினமும் காலையில் ஸ்ரீ கணபதியை மனதில் தியானித்துக் கொண்டு பாராயணம் செய்கிறானோ, அவன் நோயின்றி குறை யேதுமின்றி, நல்ல கல்விகளையும் நன்மக்களையும், அஷ்டைச்வர்யமும் பெற்று நீண்ட ஆயுளுடன் வாழ்வார்கள்.

பல வருடங்களுக்கு முன் காஞ்சி மகா பெரியவர் தமிழகத்தின்
தென்பகுதிகளில் யாத்திரை மேற்கொண்டிருந்த சந்தர்ப்பம்…..
தஞ்சாவூர்,திருச்சி, திருவானைக்காவல், ஸ்ரீரங்கம்,திண்டுக்கல்,
சோழவந்தான் ஆகிய ஊர்களுக்கு விஜயம் செய்துவிட்டு,
மதுரையை நோக்கித் தன் பரிவாரங்களுடன் வந்துகொண்டிருந்தார்.
ஸ்வாமிகள். வழி நெடுகிலும் உள்ள கிராம மக்கள் தங்கள்
குழந்தை குட்டிகளுடன் திரளாக வந்து ஸ்வாமிகளை தரிசித்து
ஆசிபெற்றுச் சென்றனர். அவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் இன்முகத்தோடு
அருளாசி வழங்கினார். பழம்,கல்கண்டு ஆகியவற்றைப்
பிரசாதமாக கொடுத்துக்கொண்டே நடந்தார் ஸ்வாமிகள்.
மதுரை மாநகரை நெருங்கும் நேரம். அங்கிருந்த ஒரு கிராமத்து
ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்றுகூடி "பூர்ணகும்ப" மரியாதையுடன்
ஸ்வாமிகளை வரவேற்றார்கள்.அந்த ஜனங்களின் பக்தியையும்
ஆர்வத்தையும் பார்த்த ஸ்வாமிகளுக்கு ஏக சந்தோஷம்.
சாலையோரம் இருந்த ஓர் அரசுமரத்து வேரில் வந்து அவராகவே
அமர்ந்துகொண்டார். அனைவரும் கீழே விழுந்து நமஸ்கரித்தனர்.
அந்த ஊர்ப் பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவர் மிகுந்த பக்தியுடன் ஸ்வாமிகளை
நமஸ்கரித்தார். பிறகு, "பெரியவங்ககிட்ட ஒண்ணு
பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம். நாங்க ஏழை சனங்கல்லாம் ஒண்ணா சேந்து,
பக்கத்துல ஒரு புள்ளயார் கோயிலை புதுசா கட்டி முடிச்சிருக்கோம்.
சாமி பாதம் அங்க படணும்னு வேண்டிக்கிறோம்….கருண பண்ணணும்!"
என்று கன்னத்தில் போட்டுக்கொண்டார்
குதூகலத்தோடு எழுந்த ஆச்சார்யாள், "கோயில் எங்கே இருக்கு?"
என வினவினார்.
பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவர், "இதோ கூப்பிடு தூரத்திலதான் சாமி இருக்கு.
வந்து அருள் பண்ணணும்!" என்றார்.
ஸ்வாமிகள் மிக வேகமாக பிள்ளையார் கோயிலை நோக்கி நடந்தார்.
மேளதாள-பூரணகும்ப மரியாதையுடன் ஆச்சார்யாள் கோயிலுக்குள்
பிரவேசித்தார். கர்ப்பக்கிருகத்துள் ஆறடி உயர சிலா ரூபமாக
விநாயகர் வீற்றிருந்தார். விக்கிரகம் கம்பீரமாக பளிச்சென்று
இருந்தது. வைத்த கண் வாங்காமல் சற்று நேரம் விநாயகரையே
பார்த்த பெரியவா,பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவரிடம்,
"கோயிலுக்கு கும்பாபிஷேகம் ஆயிடுத்தோ?" என்று கேட்டார்.
"இன்னும் ஆகலீங்க சாமி" என்றார் தலைவர்.
"அதான் எல்லாமே பூர்த்தியாகி இருக்கே…ஏன் இன்னும்
கும்பாபிஷேகம் நடத்தலே?" என்று கேட்டார் ஸ்வாமிகள்.
பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவர் பவ்வியமாக பதில் சொன்னார்.;

காந்தீஜீக்காகக் காத்துக்கிட்ருக்கோம்!"
ஆச்சார்யாள் தனக்குள் சிரித்துக்கொண்டார். இரண்டு நிமிஷம்
கண்ணிமைக்காமல் விநாயகரையே பார்த்துவிட்டுச் சொன்னார்.
"அதுக்கு அவசியம் இருக்காது போலத் தோண்றதே!
கணபதி கண்ணத் திறந்து நன்னா பாத்துண்ருக்காரே…இனிமே
கும்பாபிஷேகத்த தாமசப்படுத்தப்படாது. ஒடனேயே நல்ல நாள்
பார்த்து பண்ணிடுங்கோ."
உடனே பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவர், "இல்லீங்க சாமி! கண் தொறக்கிற
சடங்கு விநாயகருக்கு இன்னும் நடக்கலீங்க சாமி! நீங்க இப்படி
சொல்றத பாத்தா ஒண்ணும் புரியலீங்களே.." என்று குழம்பினார்.
ஸ்வாமிகள் மீண்டும் சிரித்துக்கொண்டே, "இது நானா சொல்லலே!
கணபதி கண்ணைத் திறந்து நன்னா "ஸ்பஷ்டமா" பார்த்துண்ருக்கார்.
சீக்கிரமே கும்பாபிஷேகத்துக்கு வேண்டிய ஏற்பாடுகள் பண்ணுங்கோ!
காந்தி வந்தா நன்னா தரிசனம் பண்ணிட்டுப் போகட்டுமே" என்று
கூறினார். குழுமியிருந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு ஒன்றும் புரியவில்லை.
அமைதியோடு காத்திருந்தனர்.
பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவருக்கும் குழப்பம் தீரவில்லை. உடனே
ஆளனுப்பி விநாயகர் சிலையை வடிவமைத்த ஸ்தபதியை
வரவழைத்தனர்.அவரிடம் ஆச்சார்யாள் சொன்ன விஷயம்
தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
சிற்பியும் அடித்துச் சொன்னார்; "இல்லீங்க ஸ்வாமி..இன்னும்
விநாயகருக்கு கண் தொறக்கலீங்க. தொறந்தா விக்கிரகத்தச்
செதுக்கின நான்தானே தொறக்கணும்..இன்னும் அது ஆவுலீங்க.."
மூன்று தடவை ஆச்சார்யாள் காலில் விழுந்து
கை கட்டி நின்றார் சிற்பி.
மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை விக்கிரகத்தையே உற்று நோக்கிய ஸ்வாமிகள்
"மகா கணபதிக்கு நன்னா கண் தெறந்தாச்சு! அவர் சந்தோஷமா
பாத்துண்டிருக்கார். இனிமேலும் தாமதிக்கிறது நல்லதில்லே.
சீக்கிரமா ஒரு நல்ல நாள் பாத்து கும்பாபிஷேகத்த நடத்துங்கோ..
க்ஷேமம் உண்டாகும்" என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு வேகவேகமாகப்
புறப்பட்டுவிட்டார் ஆச்சார்யாள். பரிவாரம் பின்தொடர்ந்தது.
ஆச்சார்யாளை அந்த ஊர் எல்லை வரை சென்று வழி அனுப்பி
வைத்துவிட்டுத் திரும்பினர்,அத்தனை பேரும்.
சற்று நேரத்துக்கெல்லாம் அந்த ஊர் கிராமப் பஞ்சாயத்து சபை’
கூடியது. ஆச்சார்யாள் கூறிவிட்டுப் போன விஷயம் குறித்து
அலசி ஆராயப்பட்டது. விநாயகர் விக்கிரகத்தைச் செதுக்கிய
சற்று வயதான ஸ்தபதி அடித்துச் சொன்னார்.
"ஆச்சார்ய ஸ்வாமிங்களுக்கு ஞான திருஷ்டில எல்லா
விஷயங்களும் தெரிஞ்சுடும்.இருந்தாலும் எங்கையால் நான்
இன்னும் கண்ண தொறக்கலே.சாமி எப்டி சொல்றாங்கனு
தெரியலே.நானும்கூட விக்கிரகத்துகிட்ட போயி உன்னிப்பா
கவனிச்சுப் பாத்துட்டேன்.அப்டி ஆனதா தெரியலீங்க….
இப்ப என்ன பண்றது?"
அங்கே மௌனம் நிலவியது. ஒருவரும் வாய் திறக்கவில்லை.
திடீரென்று பன்னிரண்டு வயது மதிக்கத்தக்க உள்ளூர்ப் பையன்
ஒருவன் அந்த இடத்துக்கு ஓடி வந்தான்.கை கட்டி நின்றான்.
அவனைப் பார்த்த தலைவர், "தம்பி! ஏன் இப்படி ஓடி வர்றே?
என்ன விஷயம்?" என்று கேட்டார்.
உடனே அந்தப் பையன் "தலைவரே! கோயில் விநாயகர் சிலை
பத்தி எனக்கு ஒரு விஷயம் தெரியும்..சொல்லலாங்களா?"
என்று கேட்டான் பவ்யமாக.
"ஒனக்கு என்ன தெரியும்..சொல்லு தம்பி!" என்று மிக ஆர்வம்
காட்டினார் தலைவர். கூட்டமும் அந்தப் பையனையே
பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது.
பையன் பேச ஆரம்பித்தான்; "ஐயா தலைவரே! எனக்கு தெரிஞ்ச
உண்மையை சத்தியமா சொல்றேங்க. அந்த சாமியார் சாமி
[ஆச்சார்யாள்] ‘புள்ளையாருக்கு கண் தொறந்தாச்சு’னு
சொல்லிட்டுப் போனது மெய்தாங்க! எப்படீன்னா ஒரு பத்து
நாளுக்கு முந்தி ஒரு நாள் உச்சி வெயில் நேரமுங்க.இதோ
ஒக்காந்துருக்காரே..புள்ளையார் விக்கிரகத்தைச் செஞ்ச தாத்தா..
இவரோட பேரப் பையன்..என் சிநேகிதன். என்ன வேலை
பண்ணான் தெரியுமா? இவங்க தாத்தா சிலைகளின் கண்ண
தொறக்கறத்துக்கு வெச்சிருக்கிற சின்ன உளியையும்,சுத்தியையும்
எடுத்துக்கிட்டு,எங்களையும் கூட்டிக்கிட்டு கோயிலுக்குப் போனான்.
"இதோ பாருங்கடா! எங்க தாத்தா இப்புடித்தான் சிலைங்க கண்ணைத்
தொறப்பாருன்’ன்னு சொல்லிகிட்டே,’புள்ளையாரே,கண்ணத்தொற…
புள்ளையாரே,கண்ணத் தொற!’னு அவனும் சொல்லி, எங்களையும்
ஒரக்க சொல்லச் சொல்லி, "டொக்கு..டொக்குனு" உளிய புள்ளயாரின்
ரண்டு கண்ணுலயும் வச்சு தட்டினான்.."புள்ளையாருக்கு கண்
தொறந்தாச்சு"னு எல்லாப் பசங்களும் குதிச்சு ஆடினோம்.இந்த
விஷயம் ஊர்ல ஒருத்தவங்களுக்கும் தெரியாது. நாங்களும் வெளியிலே
மூச்சு வுடலே! இது தாங்க நடந்துச்சு….எங்களை மன்னிச்சுருங்க."
பிரமிப்போடு அமர்ந்திருந்தது கூட்டம். பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவர்கண்களில்
நீர் சுரந்தது.ஆச்சார்யாளின் மகிமையைப் பார்த்து அந்த ஊரே வியப்பில்
ஆழ்ந்தது. சிற்பியின் பேரனுக்கு எட்டு வயதிருக்கும். பஞ்சாயத்து அந்தச்
அழைத்து விசாரித்தது. விநாயகருக்கு, தான் கண்களைத் திறந்துவிட்டதை
ஒப்புக் கொண்டான். எல்லோரும் கோயிலுக்கு ஓடிச் சென்று விநாயகரை
விழுந்து வணங்கினர். சிற்பி, ஒரு பூதக் கண்ணாடியின் உதவியோடு
கணபதியின் கண்களை நன்கு பரிசீலித்தார்.
மிக அழகாக "நேத்ரோன் மீலனம்" [கண் திறப்பு] செய்யப்பட்டிருந்ததைப்
பார்த்து ஆச்சர்யப்பட்டார்.
ஊரே திரண்டு ஆச்சார்யாள் சென்ற திசையை நோக்கி ஓடியது. அடுத்த
கிராமத்தில் சாலை ஓரமிருந்த ஒரு பெரிய ஆலமர நிழலில்
பரிவாரங்களுடன் இளைப்பாறிக்கொண்டு இருந்தார் ஸ்வாமிகள்.
அனைவரும் ஓடிப் போய் ஸ்வாமிகள் காலில் விழுந்து எழுந்தனர்.
அந்தப் பஞ்சாயத்துத் தலைவரும்,சிற்பியும் கேவிக்கேவி
அழ ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டனர்.
இவர்களைப் பார்த்த அந்த பரப்பிரம்மம் சிரித்துக்கொண்டே கேட்டது;
"புள்ளையாருக்குக் கண் தெறந்தாச்சுங்கறத பிரத்தியட்சமா
தெரிஞ்சுண்டுட்டேளோல்லியோ? போங்கோ….போய் சீக்கிரமா
கும்பாபிஷேகத்த நடத்தி முடியுங்கோ. அந்த பிராந்தியத்துக்கே
க்ஷேமம் உண்டாகும்."
சிரித்தபடியே கை தூக்கி ஆசிர்வதித்தது அந்த நடமாடும் தெய்வம்

In each of these, the SJM has scored wins since the Narendra Modi government assumed power on May 26. It seems Sharma and the SJM are now moving in quickly to occupy vacant space — vacated by the now defunct National Advisory Council (NAC), which was almost a personal prelature of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. In the past two months, only the SJM has managed to challenge the almost unquestioned authority of Narendra Modi.
Consider the SJM’s recent successes: it has been opposing the Doha round of negotiations at the WTO for sometime now, and it took a BJP-led government to block it, precisely on the points SJM has been advocating. FDI in retail has been another pet peeve and minister of state for commerce and industry Nirmala Sitharaman has ruled out FDI in multi-brand retail. But the real deal was GM crops, something the prime minister appears keen to push. SJM has been opposing GM crops and their field trials too. "If you want to do trials, they must be inside greenhouses," Sharma says.
The Narendra Modi-led government took two steps forward on GM crops in the two months it has been in office. It was forced to take one back after the SJM as well as former BJP ideologue and environmental activist KN Govindacharya raised their hands in protest.
The GM crops issue will test the SJM’s will as well as the resolve of this government.

Activist organizations like Greenpeace, andana Shiva’s Navdanya and Suman Sahai’s Gene Campaign were named in a report by the Intelligence Bureau. The report’s subject line is ‘Concerted efforts by select foreign-funded NGOs to take down Indian development projects’. The report was leaked soon after the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) came into office. It picked on anti-GM crop agitations along with other issues like anti-coal and anti-nuclear movements, and sought to paint these protests as activities controlled by foreign masters that are aiming at slowing down India’s growth. The widely circulated report (ET Magazine also downloaded a copy) instilled some fear, damaged some credibility, but mostly made the Modi government’s intentions clear. It wanted to clear impediments coming in the way of its growth agenda.
That was till it faced stiff opposition on GM crops from one of its own. It is not that the SJM has now changed its colours; it has always opposed GM crops. But its pedigree, closeness to the RSS and its mooring in swadeshi philosophy make it a large obstacle on the course adopted by this government on GM crops.
The Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) that had not met for almost two years met on July 18 (53 days after the Modi government took over) and cleared three applications for import of GM soyabean oil. It also accepted 13 requests for confined field trials of different GM crops. In the earlier government, Sharad Pawar as agriculture minister was a strong votary of GM seeds in India and had often spoken in favour of Bt cotton. On the other hand, Jairam Ramesh as environment minister had announced a moratorium on the field trials of Bt brinjal in 2010 and his successor Jayanthi Natarajan had refused to sign off requests for field trials that were already approved by the GEAC. The committee thereafter had stopped meeting. Ramesh had queered the pitch further by mandating that each trial must also get a no-objection from respective state governments.

தன்னை வணங்க வந்த ஒருவரை ஊர்,பேர் விசாரித்தார்
பெரியவர். ஈரோட்டைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்று தெரிந்தது.உன் ஊருக்கு அந்தப் பேர் எப்படி வந்தது தெரியுமா" என்றார்.அவருக்குத் தெரியவில்லை.
"சரி உங்க ஊர் சுவாமி பேரென்ன?" என்றார்.ஏதோ வித்தியாசமாக இருக்கும் மறந்து போச்சு.."என்றார்.
"ஆர்த்ர கபாலீசுவரர்னு பேரோ?" என்றார் பெரியவா.

சிவபெருமான் திருகி எடுத்ததால், பிரம்மஹத்தி
தோஷத்தினால் சிவன் கையிலேயே கபாலம் ஒட்டிக் கொண்டுவிட்டது.திருகி எடுத்தால் ரத்தம் சொட்டிய ஈரத்துடன்
கூடிய ஓட்டைக் கையிலே வைத்திருக்கும்
