My best friend. My trouble carrier for the night”.

I Have received a wonderful message and thought of sharing..
a bit lengthy but worth reading….

"I hired a plumber to help me repairs at an old farmhouse.

He already had a rough and tiresome day.

* a flat tire

* his electric drill fault

* his old car break down.

* his tiffin was spoilt

* he lost his wallet

* his bank was calling for loan repayments

In all the tension and stress he finished my repairs.

Since his car broke down, I drove him home.

While I drove him home, he sat silently, but I can mark his agony and restlessness.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family.

As we walked toward the front door, he paused at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands and closed his eyes.

When the door opened, he was smiling and happy.

In seconds he underwent an amazing transformation.

He hugged his two small children, gave his wife a kiss, laughed, and never even slightly make them feel the troubles that he had encountered that day.

I was astonished, aback and curious.

Seeing my inquisitive eyes he told “Oh, that’s my Trouble Tree.

My best friend.
My trouble carrier for the night”.

He replied. “I know I can’t help having troubles on the job, but one thing’s for sure, those troubles don’t belong in the house with my wife and the children.

So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them.

Then in the morning I pick them up again.

” He smiled and shared secret that “when I come out in the morning to pick ’em up, there aren’t nearly as many as I remember hanging there the night before !!”

Life may be a burden of worries, but there is a way to keep our loved ones untouched from these worries.

Time will heal every wound.

Whom so ever is tensed today….look for a tree.

….

Taking Care of Your Teeth

if you are in hurry, read the highlighted lines at least.

What is it that causes toothaches? How did my teeth go bad suddenly when they were fine all these years? Why do my teeth hurt when I eat or drink anything hot or cold? How did I manage to get cavities even though I brush every day? All these and more are questions many of us ask at some point of time or the other. Toothaches are very common, as are the cavities that cause them. Many of us also end up chipping a tooth due to a fall, contact during sports or maybe even a pointless fight in school. The teeth are among the hardest parts of our body, but they are vulnerable to injury and decay.

Enamel and everything else
The hard, outer part of the tooth that appears white in colour is called the enamel. The enamel has high mineral content, which is why it is very hard and brittle. It is also non-living and has no nerve endings or blood flow. So, we do not feel anything on our teeth until the enamel actually decays and the underlying layer is exposed.
The job of the enamel is to aid in the primary functions of the teeth: chewing, biting and tearing. It also protects the underlying living and sensitive layers of the teeth from contact with food and other objects.
Keeping the enamel intact and the teeth healthy requires a proper combination of good oral health and diet.

The bad guys
The biggest enemy of the teeth is sugar. This means that all the sweet stuff like candies, ice-cream, fizzy drinks and fruit juices are villains who will damage your enamel. How? Sugars are broken down right at the mouth because they are an instant source of energy. When sugar breaks down, certain acids are produced. Because the enamel is high in mineral content, it dissolves in acid, causing erosion and decay. These dental caries, or cavities that are created with enamel decay expose the sensitive underlying layers of the teeth. And that is when it hurts.
The mouth also has lots of bacteria. Some of them form a thin coating around the teeth during this sugar break-down process. This coating is called a plaque and it can easily be scraped off with a toothbrush. However, if allowed to remain for a couple of days, they form a brownish coating on the enamel called a tartar. You may have noticed such brown stains especially on the back surface of your teeth. Plaque and tartar not only harm the teeth by causing decay, they can also cause infection of the gums.
What does all this mean? The enamel suffers at the hands of food items with high sugar content and bacteria that constantly seek to attack whatever tissue they can find. Food stuck in between the teeth amplifies this problem, causing the enamel to erode and cavities to form. Cavities are usually irreversible i.e. the enamel cannot be reformed to fill up these cavities. Tartar, too becomes rock hard when it forms and cannot be removed by brushing. The best way to take care of your teeth and keep them healthy is to prevent such problems from occurring.

Clean teeth and good food
Brushing our teeth regularly is very important. Not just because it makes the teeth shine and gives us fresh breath, but also because it literally saves the enamel from daily dangers. It helps to remove plaque and small pieces of food stuck between the teeth that are harbingers of cavities and painful toothaches. The fluoride present in toothpaste enables the minerals in teeth to resist bacterial attack. A dental floss further removes tiny pieces of food that toothbrushes can miss and mouthwash has anti-bacterial properties, all working together to keep the mouth safer. Brush twice regularly and your teeth will remain healthy for a long time.

Avoid food that has very high sugar content, especially if you already have cavities. It is the frequency and not the quantity of sugar ingestion that decides the amount of harm done to your teeth. Hence, chewing on candies throughout the day is more damaging than eating lots of ice-cream in one sitting because the former keeps the mouth acidic for a longer period of time.

Most of our meals contain starch which gets broken down into sugar and so a certain amount of acidity after each meal is inevitable. Rinsing well after each meal and using a toothpick to removes bits and pieces of food stuck in the teeth are good habits that will keep your teeth healthier and cleaner. Fizzy drinks and fruit juices are better drunk with a straw so that they do not come much in contact with your teeth.

Those of us who have developed cavities will have noticed that the teeth do not hurt until the cavity has become pretty deep or unless the teeth come in contact with very hot or cold food and that sends a rush of pain in the underlying part of the tooth. Hence, it is very important to regularly visit a dentist to check for cavities and decay, especially in areas such as the molars and in-between the teeth which are not really visible to us. Dental procedures are available to clean and fill cavities and to remove tartar, preventing further damage to the tooth.

Other things to watch out for
Prolonged acidity, formation of tartar and subsequent bacterial infection can cause harm to the gums, too. Infected gums can cause swelling, bleeding, weak dental roots and a lot of pain, not to mention bad breath. Hence, the importance of proper oral hygiene cannot be stressed upon enough.

As for the teeth, they are vulnerable to injury and hence, proper protection should be used when indulging in activities that put them at risk. The enamel can also be damaged by actions such as grinding and rubbing teeth against each other and hence, one should avoid doing so.

A healthy set of teeth helps in proper chewing and digestion, protects against infection of the various tissues in the mouth and what’s more, it also gives you a great smile. The set of teeth adults have is permanent and irreplaceable and hence, we should do what we can to take good care of it.

Do you think happiness is a state that only a few can achieve?

Do you think happiness is a state that only a few can achieve?

I think Happiness is your birth right, it is available to each and every one of us.

But if this is true why does it elude so many?

It eludes so many of us because our habits don’t support a life of harmony and happiness. I have heard it said that our collective habits determine the quality of our lives, in that case we need to ensure that our habits are positive and help us work towards creating an overall habit of happiness

There are many constructive habits that will help bring us more joy

The Act of Gratitude Any time you spend giving thanks and appreciating all that you have in life is time that will be misery free. It is very difficult to feel low or depressed when feeling grateful. Doing what you love Spending each day doing what you love will ensure a more meaningful life. According to Scott Dinsmore, of Live Your Ledgend, in his TEDX talk How to Find and Do Work You Love 80% of people work in jobs they don’t enjoy. Exercise Exercise has a multitude of benefits, health, well being, mood, increases energy and helps you to sleep better. Fit people are more productive and generally happier. Living in the Moment Practicing the art of mindfulness is another sure-fire way to be happier. Living in the moment eradicates any future worries or past regrets. Helping others Another tried and tested manner to create more happiness, giving is just as powerful as receiving. Those who live helping others have a greater sense of purpose and live more meaningful lives. Nurturing Positive Thoughts So many people forget that their thoughts are within their own control and allow negative thoughts to overtake their minds. If you want to live a happy and successful life you cannot afford a negative thought. Smiling Apparently smiling releases serotonin, a chemical that makes us happy. Smiling even when we don’t really feel it will have the same effect. While we know that all of these things contribute to our overall happiness why are so many of us still going around miserable?

Then "Kushwaha – family" the only survivor of ‘Bhopal Gas Tragedy’ managed to escape the tragedy becoz they were performing 🔥"yajna" 🔥

(16) Burning of Cow ghee on cow-dung cakes, produces phenomenal amount of oxygen & clears contamination from air.
(10 gms produce 1 ton oxygen)

(17 ) Why "Julia Roberts" (American actress & producer) Adopt
🔔 Hindu religion🔔 And Goes to Temple everyday

(18) If 🔔" Ramayana"🔔 Is false ,Then Why in the world, only stones of
🔔" Ram – bridge" 🔔 are still floating ?

( 19 ) If 🔔 Mahabharata🔔 is false ,
Then how recent exploration activity by
National – Geographic ‘s team , & the Indian Army in the northern region of India uncover a Giant skeleton of ‘ Ghatotkach ‘ (80 foot) Son of Bhima.

( 20 ) Why the US troops in Kandahar (Afghanistan) recently discovered a
5000 year old Vimana,(an aeroplane) from ancient Mahabharata period?

* Lufthansa: When an aeroplane service first started in Germany, the aircraft they employed in service were pure white, resembling huge white swans. When these aeroplanes would fly into the sky and grow slowly smaller and disappear, they would look like swans disappearing into the heart of the sky. In Sanskrit, the word that could describe them was lupth-hansa, or the hidden swan and that’s the correct meaning.

*A Yajna is a sacred purifying ritual (havan) in Hinduism that involves a fire ceremony. It is a ritual of sacrifice made to the fire god Agni . objects such as Ghee(Clarified butter), grains, honey,or wood are put into the sacred fire.

Feel proud to be “Hindu”
Feel proud to be “Hindustani”

You are not always right.”

By: Margaret Meloni

I need to tell you something. I hope you don’t mind. You see, what I have to tell you might not be something you want to know. But here goes, "You are not always right." This is my polite way of telling you that sometimes you are wrong.

It’s OK. Believe it or not, we all are wrong about something. We are wrong regularly and repeatedly. It is the nature of who we are. I am not asking you to dwell on when you are wrong or what it is you are wrong about. I ask you to consider how are you wrong? Translation, when you are wrong about something, how do you behave and how does this impact your team?

When you do not believe that you are wrong you might adopt one of these approaches:

  • You are convinced that as soon as you share the facts with others, they will see your point and come over to your side of the argument. This will lead you to work to teach others the ‘real facts’ so that they too can be right.
  • You see that others have the same facts as you and they simply do not get it, therefore they must be idiots. Unfortunately this might lead you to condescend to them and to disregard any contributions from them.
  • You see that they have the facts and they are not idiots, so they must be purposefully disregarding what is clearly right. In fact, you might think they are saboteurs and so you treat them like an enemy. You decide to hide information from them and exclude them so that they cannot cause trouble.

What if you do recognize that you are wrong? Do you hide it, admit it or look for someone else to blame?

  • When you try to cover up the fact that you are wrong about something you damage your integrity. Perhaps you do this because you come from a culture where admitting an error is a sign of weakness or you are afraid of losing face. When you are wrong and you hide it, you are teaching your team to engage in the same behavior. This makes it very difficult to proactively solve issues.
  • When you look for someone else to blame, you are hiding the fact that you are wrong PLUS telling a lie about someone else. This is even worse for your integrity and your credibility. Now you are teaching your team to use other team members as human shields. This makes it very difficult to build any kind of high performing team.
  • When you are wrong and you admit it, you model responsibility and integrity for your team. You can proactively address issues, you can demonstrate how to behave like an adult professional and you can all move forward.

Granted in different corporate cultures and political climates there are different rules about how to be wrong. Unfortunately some of these cultures do encourage insisting that you are right or shifting blame, but you always get to decide how you will behave and what rules you will use when you are wrong.

I need to tell you something. I hope you don’t mind. You see, what I have to tell you might not be something you want to know. But here goes, "You are not always right." This is my polite way of telling you that sometimes you are wrong. It’s OK. Believe it or not, we all are wrong about something.

“There’s no charge for love.”

HELLO FRIENDS.
WE DON’T HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS… JUST GOOD FRIENDS.
Let’s see if you send this back…

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.
As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls.

He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.
"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck,
"These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket,
he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer.

"I’ve got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring
inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid.
Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others,
doing its best to catch up…

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the
boy’s side and said, & quo t;Son, you don’t want that puppy. He will never be able to run
and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up
one leg of his trousers.

In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to
a specially made shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don’t run too well myself, and he will
need someone who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup.

Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy… "No charge," answered the farmer, "There’s no charge for love."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

It’s National Friendship Week.

Show your friends how much you care.
Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND, as well as those who WERE!!!
If it comes back to you, then you’ll know you have a circle of friends.

WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS LETTER,YOU’RE REQUESTED TO SEND IT
TO AT LEAST 4 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT

JUST SAY NO

We’ve all had times when we say yes to someone but really want to say no.

It’s often difficult to say no because of the desire to be loved:

we want to be helpful, we want to show we care, but we may have little to give, are tired, overworked, or need alone time.

Do you feel that if you aren’t there for someone, they may reject you? Or that you’re somehow obliged to help as it makes you a ˜good person, parent or friend? Do you ever feel validated by being needed ?

It’s easy to believe that any time you take to relax or meditate is time that could be used elsewhere. But taking time out doesn’t mean it is selfish or even wasted time. Think about what happens when your day is spent constantly caring for others. Do you get resentful, irritated, or even angry? Do you find stress building up? Does the quality of care that you offer become affected by that inner tension? Or are you so used to being this way that it seems impossible to imagine being any other way? You may even think you’re not the relaxing type, or that if you do relax you won’t be able to cope with all the things you have to do.

However, by taking time for yourself, by lowering your blood pressure and releasing stress, you are immediately creating a more harmonious environment that can only benefit all those around you. When you take time out to be quiet it means you don’t get so angry, resentful, or frustrated; instead, you connect with who you really are. Then what you share with others is coming from that peaceful space. When you are energized and feeling good you will be able to do far more than if you are dragging yourself through your day with little energy or in a bad mood.

So, rather than being selfish, such activity is actually the least selfish thing you could do! This is when saying no to others means you are affirming yourself. The power of saying no is that you are empowered!

STORY OF A MOTHER’S CURSE !

STORY OF A MOTHER’S CURSE !
Recently, I have visited a friend’s father in a old age home. There I met a lady, around 74 years old, who reminded me of my mother. I introduced myself. We talked for few minutes.
Then, without any provocation, she started cursing her son and daughter.
"Uday, you have come to see your friend’s father. But my children, those %@#%$, never cared for me. They ditched me here like an ugly decayed old dog…"she was cursing and shouting so loud. And the beauty of the words she used would create envy in even among parliamentarians in India. I have never ever heard such gutter adjectives that she used to address her son and daughter – horrible! I could imagine her pain, anger, hatred and alienation. I understood that her son is an engineer and daughter is a medical doctor. They have never come to see her. And she is living on her pension.
"Please don’t curse your children, mother…" I said.
"Both of them are living in huge bungalows with children and servants. They spent lot of money on poojas and rituals too….But they can’t spend a minute or a paisa for me “she continued cursing them…
Apparently, she is disillusioned, depressed, frustrated and carrying lot of negative emotions. A tragic situation, indeed. Barring the emotional outburst, we fail to see some basic factors that point to bitter truth in life.
"May I ask you a few questions, mother?"
"Yes…"
"You have given birth to your children with part of your own body. You have nurtured them well. You have provided them with nutritious food and nourished them…"
"Yes…yes…most of the times, I was starving to feed them…Since my husband was not earning well, we were living on my petty salary then…"
"You took care of their body so now they have a good and healthy body…"
"Yes – but my curse will finish off their health, their body will decay…" she scolded.
"Now, my question is, you took care of the body, but what about their mind? What did you do for their mind? Did you teach them any value based knowledge? Did you teach them your traditions, customs, rituals, culture and its significance? Did you read them our puranas and itihas?"
"Who had time for that? I was busy to make both ends meet…I was starving, but I wanted to see them as an engineer or doctor…I wanted to see the society respects my children."
"So, your wishes are fulfilled, then what are you complaining about?"
She looked at me with a blank face.
"You taught your daughter MBBS – she became doctor. You send your son to study BTech and he became engineer. Those are very good positions in your society…You should be happy. You taught them to be competitive and selfish…Fair enough. But how will they learn what you didn’t teach them? Did you teach them any values in life? Where will they learn from that they should take care of parents?"
"But…they should…right? I have sacrificed my life…I starved…"
"Mother, you made two mistakes – one, you were irresponsible to your own body and mind. When you starve, trillions of living beings inside your body will starve, have you ever thought about it? It is a self-violence. What about the curse of your own body cells? Second: you were sub-consciously deriving pleasure from this concept: "even if I starve, I fed my kids". So you already got your contentment and happiness. Your wish was to make them professionals and earn respect in the society – it was also fulfilled…"
She didn’t have answer.
"Have you sought your kids’

permission before bringing them into this world? Did they request you to take them to this world? If you give them good body, it was your dharma to give them good mind too?"
How Rajmata Jijabai did brought her son Shivaji up? Jijabai told him the tales of Ram, Krishna, Hanuman, Yudhistira, Bheem, Sibi etc – fighting the injustice, being truthful, humane and freeing of people from tyranny. These stories made Shivaji the great. He respected women and his mother.
On the contrary, how did his arch-enemy Aurangzeb was brought up by his mother? She made a demon out of a man. He imprisoned his own father Shah Jahan and assaulted women and auctioned them. He was trading Indian women as slaves.

"But…I was ignorant about such things…" she said. Ignorance of karmic laws is NOT an excuse; each and every karma will have its cause and effects.
Abdul Kalam was brought up by his mother in poverty – he became India’s most-respected president. On the contrary, Adolf Hitler was also brought up in poverty by his mother. See the difference!
"Mother, I am sorry to say, but you got what you deserve. You are responsible for your karma and hence the result"
"But the struggle I underwent for them? The miseries and hardship I suffered for bringing them up?"
"Mother, everybody feeds their children. But you should have provided them something else too. Have you shown

them or let them experience poverty, miseries and hardship? You wanted to experience it for yourself in the name of love to children… Then how do you expect them to know your troubles? You spent lot of money to make them professionals. Did you spend a single penny to make them a good human being?

You have taught them that life is all about tuition or scoring highest marks in the exams and competition items like dance and songs. Did you ever take them to a cancer ward in the hospital? Did you ever take them to an orphanage? Did you make them understand sufferings of old-age people? Where do you expect them to learn such things, mother? From reality shows? Commercials? Television series? If they think that life is about self-centered enjoyment, who is responsible for that life style?"
"But don’t they know the meaning of "Mathrudevo bhava" and…" she murmured something
"Mother, mathrudevo bhava means, get yourself elevated to the position of the god, not that your demand your children to respect you as god…” I said.
She didn’t utter a single word. Tears rolled out of her eyes. I felt I was exceeding the limit. But somebody should tell it to her. It is for her own good. She should stop producing more negativity and hatredShe should take up the responsibility of what had happened to her. That will make her think. And I am sure that she will find solace. There was nothing else I could do in such situation.
"I am really sorry mother…Please forgive me if I have said something that hurt you…"
"No my son, you have opened my eyes…I think I am realising your points…"

"And please stop calling your son, ‘son of a bitch’ – in fact you are scolding yourself here. Let me assure you, your son and daughter are not going to escape from the results of their bad karma. They will get it back from their children. Then, they may repent. That point of time, they may understand the sacrifice of their parents….So, just pray for them, instead of cursing them…" I said.

a list of some good foods you could choose for yourself if you have diabetes

If you’re a diabetic, chances are, you already know a lot about the lifestyle you’re supposed to follow- exercise, addiction control and food. To help you out, we’ve put down a list of some good foods you could choose for yourself if you have diabetes.

Apples-Recent studies have revealed that just a single apple a day could cut down the levels of harmful cholesterol in blood by a whopping 40 percent, and give the body a good dose of antioxidants,

Asparagus-With just 20 calories and a good amount of dietary fiber per serving, asparagus makes for a wonderful food choice for those with diabetes. Asparagus also contains many antioxidants, and its consumption is thought to reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer, and also slow down the effects of ageing.

Avocadoes-Avocadoes have earned their reputation of being heart healthy, but not many people know that they are also wonderful for diabetics. It has been found that regular consumption of avocadoes could reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 25 percent.

Beans-When it comes to diabetes, beans are nothing less than super-foods. They are high in fiber, and just a cup serving a day is known to help control blood sugar levels. What’s more, consuming them every day can reduce the risk of stroke by 7 percent.

Blueberries-Blueberries, among other berries, are best known for their flavonoid content. Their high fiber content make them one of the best when it comes to following a diet for diabetes. Consuming berries is thought to keep blood sugar levels from spiking up.

Broccoli-Broccoli is another great super-food to add to your diet if you’re a diabetic. It is rich in an antioxidant beta carotene, and is known to promote healthy vision, keep the teeth and bones strong, and also promote skin health. It is also believed that broccoli can reduce cell damage occurring due to high blood sugar.

Carrots-Carrots are rich in fiber and important vitamins that boost immunity. Consumption of carrots is also thought to prevent the development of certain cancers, and when it comes to diabetes, raw carrots may also lower the risk of development of type 2 diabetes even in those who have a genetic predisposition to the disease.

Pears: Rich in potassium and loaded with fibre, a pear is also low in carbohydrates! Add them in your fruit bowl or mix it up with spinach to get an instant fix for your hunger pangs.

Despite the fact that fruits and vegetables are good for you, there’s no denying the fact that some of them contain sugar and carbohydrates, albeit in small amounts. So KEEP YOUR PORTIONS SMALL and do check with your nutritionist before any major diet changes.

Cabbage: Cabbage has a low glycaemic index of 10 which is very diabetes friendly. It is also a rich source of vitamin C and K. However, keep an eye on the fat content if you are including cabbage in your diet.

Berries: Tempting red strawberries or indigo coloured blueberries or just any berries for that matter. Experts advice that these little colourful fruits are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fibre and are low-carb! So top off your breakfast with some strawberries or just toss them in your mouth. It adds a pop of colour and a dollop of health!

Oranges: Despite the fact that an orange contains sugar, it also contains other compounds that help control blood glucose, which makes it good for a diabetes patient. The soluble fibre present in an orange thickens as it’s being digested. This in turn slows down the sugar absorption, offering better control of your blood sugar.

Spinach: Is there nothing this superfood can’t do? Research shows that green, leafy and fresh spinach is extremely low in calories and carbohydrates, which is especially good news if you are a diabetic. In fact, spinach is one of the rare things that a diabetic can eat almost freely!

Okra (Lady’s finger): This vegetable is a sure shot hit with kids and diabetics! Like brinjals and oranges, the presence of soluble fibre in okra makes this humble vegetable one of the best things to eat if you are diabetic.

Brinjal: Non-starchy, low carbohydrate and soluble fibre, could a vegetable be more perfect for diabetes? Load up on this easily available vegetable and enjoy the goodness that it offers!

Cherries: If you have a sweet tooth, don’t worry! Sweet cherries are good for you! The sugar in them is natural. To add to that, they have a low calorie count and a minimal carbohydrate level! But make sure you check the labels before you pick up a can of cherries as many of them are loaded with artificial sweeteners!

Drink water-Water tends to mobilize the high sugar content in blood and thereby helps in preventing aggravation. Drinking 2.5 litres of water, on a daily basis, will not only regulate physical functions but will also lower chances of cardiovascular and diabetic ailments.

Green Tea-Green tea is nothing less than a miracle cure for ailments. Consuming a cup of unsweetened green tea regularly will rid the body of free radicals and let the antioxidants, contained within, normalize the blood sugar levels. This will aid in reducing diabetes and help keep the chances at bay.

Vinegar-Vinegar is an excellent dietary compound responsible for diluting concentrated sugar-levels in the blood. Studies have shown that two spoonfuls of vinegar before a meal can reduce the glucose influx.

Fresh Fruits-Natural fruit sugars are the best options, as dietary supplements, since they provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals required. Studies have shown that an adequate intake of Vitamin A and C maintains blood and bone health. Include fresh citrus fruits like oranges, apples, pineapples, grapes and lemons in your diet. CONSUME BANANAS IN MODERATION, since their sugar structure is more complex than that of citrus fruits

Soy-Soy proteins are one of the miracle cures for reducing diabetes among crucial patients. The isoflavones contained in them reduce the sugar content in blood and keep the body nourished, while accumulating much fewer calories, when compared to other foods.

Fresh Vegetables-Fresh vegetables are rich sources of iron, zinc, potassium, calcium and other essential nutrients. These nutrients restore the balance and aid in overall cardiovascular and nervous health. This prompts the body to assimilate proteins and produce insulin in an optimum level.

Cinnamon Powder-Powdered cinnamon, apart from spicing up your foods, has the ability to lower blood sugar levels, as well. Take a pinch of cinnamon with warm water every day and kiss diabetes goodbye.

Sleep Well-A good night’s sleep is as essential for proper health, as food or exercise. Studies have shown that adults sleeping for 7-8 hours every night have experienced lesser chances of contracting diabetes in the long run, than those who sleep for fewer hours. The science behind it claims that sleep calms the brain and facilitates the normal hormone secretion. Lack of sleep upsets the normal hormonal balance.

Small, Frequent Meals-High metabolic rates are highly conducive in maintaining blood-sugar levels and nothing keeps metabolism more fired up than consuming small portions, frequently. Studies have shown that frequent meals result in greater absorption of nutrients and lesser deposition of fat. Without fat deposition, the insulin secretion is normalized.

Using Methi Seeds: Fenugreek or Methi seeds are considered the most effective of natural cures that can help alleviate typical symptoms of diabetes. Methi seeds should be soaked in water overnight. The water concentrated with the seeds’ juices should be consumed early in the morning on an empty stomach.

For making this natural concoction stronger, you can crush the seeds and sieve them through a cloth or filter paper.

My note- Just now I received a mail from Sri V. mahadevaan that he is using it and blood sugar is underscontrol

Using Natural Juices: Some juices have been found to be effective in controlling high sugar levels that can prove fatal for diabetics.

These are juices of fruits and vegetables that are further enriched with antioxidants and many rare micronutrients. The most recommended variety here is the Bitter Gourd or Karela juice.

Other options include grape juice or the juice-like extract made from boiling mango leaves in water

Aloe Gel Remedy: An effective, natural concoction for diabetes can be prepared by adding a few teaspoons of ground Bay Leaf (Tejpatra) with one teaspoon of turmeric. This mixture should be mixed with an equal amount of aloe vera gel and consumed daily, before lunch and dinner.

Using Chapattis to Your Advantage: Another useful way of managing diabetes is increasing the daily intake of fiber in the natural form. This includes increasing the fiber content in chappatis that tend to be eaten with regularity in Indian homes. The refined flour should be mixed with a combination of flours procured from different cereals, particularly those high in soluble fiber. This includes flours of barley and lentils like Chana Dal and soya bean.

Using Jarul or Banaba: Diabetics can use Banaba or Jarul plant extract. Banaba is among the lesser known of herbal plants in India. Along with India, it is grown in only a handful of other nations. The herbal powder of Banaba extract can be used to make herbal tea. This plant contains high concentrations of contains Corosolic acid—the most potent of biochemical compounds that stimulate faster glucose metabolism and help to regulate blood sugar and insulin levels that is very useful for combating diabetes

Jamun: Jamun is one of the rarest plants where nearly each part, the leaves, berry and seeds are known to help in controlling blood sugar levels.

Neem leaves are useful in a similar manner. Instead of using only Neem leaves, you can also add leaves of Tulsi and Bel Patra. All these leaves can be boiled together for increasing the potency of the filtered extract.

Amla or the Indian goose Berry is similarly effective in managing sugar levels.

How to Make Work Feel Effortless

Sometimes work can be a drag. You get caught up in trying to be more productive and suddenly your life turns into a series of to-do lists. You gauge your measure of success by how much you accomplish. You even determine how happy you allow yourself to be by how much you’ve gotten done in the day.

We spend a lot of time trying to find ways to be more productive. To do things faster, better, cheaper and spend our time more effectively. But instead of just doing more in less time, maybe we should focus on actually enjoying the work we’re doing instead.

Here are 8 ways to make work seem like less of a chore and more like a gift:

Follow your natural rhythms. A lot of the time I resent working is because I’m trying to force myself to do something I don’t feel like doing. Naturally there will always be some things you’re not crazy about doing (like cleaning the toilet). But how often do you force yourself to work more, when you really want to relax? When you force yourself to work when you’ve promised yourself a break, you’ll likely just end up distracting yourself with other things and put off working. Then you get stressed and end up resenting work. Instead, follow your natural rhythms. When you feel like working, work. When you don’t, don’t. Don’t over complicate things. Do, don’t think. I’m going to stay true to this point and not think about writing something elaborate. Just do, stop thinking about it. Fail, make corrections later. Don’t put sugar in your tank. You wouldn’t put sugar in your gas tank right? It doesn’t make much sense to fill your body up with unhealthy fuel either. If you don’t have the energy to get the work you need to done, work will feel forced. Remove hidden roadblocks. What’s making you avoid working? What’s making your work seem like drudgery rather than joyful? It might have something to do with your beliefs about yourself. Maybe you believe you’re not good enough, smart enough or don’t have enough experience. Question your beliefs about what you can and can’t do. Only do your best. Work can easily become a chore when you’re trying to constantly be perfect. The truth is, some of your ideas might not be so great. Others will be mind blowing. If you can accept that and just do your best, you stop judging yourself. Guess what it feels like when you’re no longer picking over everything you do with a fine toothed comb? It feels extremely liberating. It feels like you can actually enjoy your experience, rather than worrying about how everything is going to turn out. That is working effortlessly. Act from your gut. When you think you have a great idea, believe it. Follow it. Chase it until you’re out of breath and can barely hold yourself up. Because if you don’t trust yourself, you’ll regret it later. The best way to live is to follow your intuition and trust life. If nothing else, trust yourself. Because if you can’t trust yourself, how can you trust your mistrust? That’s not very smart is it? Focus on what matters. Our minds are constantly pulling us in different directions. We have to wash the cat, buy more apple cinnamon oatmeal, finish writing that resignation letter to your no-longer-boss at your dead-end job, and all sorts of other things. We have a tendency to follow what’s urgent instead of what’s important. In order to get the important things done, we have to be ruthless at removing distractions. If it takes bringing a laptop (or notepad) to a cafe to write your grandiose novel, then do that. Avoid the vacuum of minutiae urgency. Remove all distractions so you can focus on the important things. I would much rather spend 4 hours working on an important project, then 4 hours spinning my wheels and scratching my head trying to figure out what I did today. Refuse to do what you don’t want to do. I often avoid working because I’m trying to do things I think I "should do." I think I should read more because it will make me smarter. I think I should buy new clothes because it will make me cooler. I think I should work on this project because it will be good for my resume. Forget what you think you should do (except maybe… paying your rent). Do what you want to do. Other people will understand. In fact, they’ll probably envy you.

The Enchanting Intensity of Moving Photos

The Enchanting Intensity of Moving PhotosClose your eyes for a moment and take a deep, slow breath. Then open them only to enjoy the beauty of these quietly moving scenes made by French photography and design artist Julien Douvier, creating a hybrid where only some elements in the picture are animated. I find that by the time I get to the end of this series, great serenity has taken hold. __._,_.___

When I Started Loving Myself…

When I Started Loving Myself…

A poem by Charlie Chaplin written on his 70th birthday on April 16, 1959.

When I started loving myself
I understood that I’m always and at any given opportunity
in the right place at the right time.
And I understood that all that happens is right –
from then on I could be calm.
Today I know: It’s called TRUST.

When I started to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody
When I tried to force my desires on this person,
even though I knew the time is not right and the person was not ready for it,
and even though this person was me.
Today I know: It’s called LETTING GO

When I started loving myself
I could recognize that emotional pain and grief
are just warnings for me to not live against my own truth.
Today I know: It’s called AUTHENTICALLY BEING.

When I started loving myself
I stopped longing for another life
and could see that everything around me was a request to grow.
Today I know: It’s called MATURITY.

When I started loving myself
I stopped depriving myself of my free time
and stopped sketching further magnificent projects for the future.
Today I only do what’s fun and joy for me,
what I love and what makes my heart laugh,
in my own way and in my tempo.
Today I know: it’s called HONESTY.

When I started loving myself
I escaped from all what wasn’t healthy for me,
from dishes, people, things, situations
and from everyhting pulling me down and away from myself.
In the beginning I called it the “healthy egoism”,
but today I know: it’s called SELF-LOVE.

When I started loving myself
I stopped wanting to be always right
thus I’ve been less wrong.
Today I’ve recognized: it’s called HUMBLENESS.

When I started loving myself
I refused to live further in the past
and worry about my future.
Now I live only at this moment where EVERYTHING takes place,
like this I live every day and I call it CONSCIOUSNESS.

When I started loving myself
I recognized, that my thinking
can make me miserable and sick.
When I requested for my heart forces,
my mind got an important partner.
Today I call this connection HEART WISDOM.

We do not need to fear further discussions,
conflicts and problems with ourselves and others
since even stars sometimes bang on each other
and create new worlds.
Today I know: THIS IS LIFE!
