INDIAN SPICES FOR ALL DISEASES

KEEP IT HANDY

COLDS
Mix a gram of dalchini/cinnamon powder with a teaspoon of honey to** cure cold. Prepare a cup of tea to which you should add ginger, clove, bay leaf and black pepper… This should be consumed twice a day.. Reduce the intake as the cold disappears.* **

GINGER FOR COLDS
Ginger tea is very good to cure cold. Preparation of tea: cut ginger into small pieces and boil it with water, boil it a few times and then add sugar to sweeten and milk to taste, and drink it hot.

DRY COUGHS
Add a gram of turmeric (haldi) powder to a teaspoon of honey for curing dry cough. Also chew a cardamom for a long time.

BLOCKED NOSE
For blocked nose or to relieve congestion, take a table spoon of crushed carom seeds (ajwain) and tie it in a cloth and inhale it.

SORE THROAT
Add a tea spoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and a few small pieces of dry ginger to a glass of boiling water. Simmer it for a few minutes, and then let it cool. Drink it twice daily. This will cure cold as well as sour throat.

AJWAIN/AJMO FOR ASTHMA*
*Boil ajwain in water and inhale the steam.

CURE FOR BACKACHE
Rub ginger paste on the backache to get relief.

GARLIC FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE**
Have 1-2 pod garlic (lasan) first thing in the morning with water *

HONEY AND GINGER FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Mix 1 table spoon and 1 table spoon ginger (adrak) juice, *1 table spoon of crushed cumin seeds (jeera), and have it twice daily.

MIGRAINE
For the cure of migraine or acute cold in the head; boil a tablespoon of pepper powder, and a pinch of turmeric in a cup of milk, and have it daily for a few couple of days.

BITTER GOURD/KARELA IS GOOD
A tablespoon of amla juice mixed with a cup of fresh bitter gourd (karela) juice and taken daily for 2 months reduces blood sugar.

TURMERIC: CURE FOR INJURIES
For any cut or wound, apply turmeric powder to the injured portion to stop the bleeding. It also works as an antiseptic. You can tie a bandage after applying haldi/turmeric.

CRAMPS
You must do a self-massage using mustard oil every morning. Just take a little oil between your palms and rub it all over your body. Then take a shower. This is especially beneficial during winter. You could also mix a little mustard powder with water to make a paste and apply this on your palms and soles of your feet.

HEADACHES
If you have a regular migraine problem, include five almonds along with hot milk in your daily diet. You could also have a gram of black pepper along with honey or milk, twice or thrice a day. Make an almond paste by rubbing wet almonds against a stone. This can be applied to forehead.

Eat an apple with a little salt on an empty stomach everyday and see its wonderful effects. OR when headache is caused by cold winds, cinnamon works best in curing headache. Make a paste of cinnamon by mixing in water and apply it all over your forehead *

GOOD FOR INDIGESTION *
Turmeric can be used to relieve digestive problems like ulcers, dysentery. Turmeric can be taken as a drink other than adding to dishes to help prevent all problems. Use one teaspoon of turmeric powder per cup of warm milk every day. It is also used as a paste for local action.

HONEY IS A GOOD CURE FOR ALL DISEASES
Mix 1 teaspoon honey with a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and have it at night.

HICCUPS
Take a warm slice of lemon and sprinkle salt, sugar and black pepper on it. The lemon should be eaten until the hiccups stop. *

HIGH BLOOD CHOLESTEROL
In 1 glass of water, add 2 tbsps of coriander/dhania seeds and bring to a boil. Let the decoction cool for some time and then strain. Drink this mixture two times in a day. **OR Sunflower seeds are extremely beneficial, as they contain linoleic acid that helps in reducing the cholesterol deposits on the walls of arteries.*

PILES
Radish juice should be taken twice a day, once in the morning and then later in the night. Initially drink about ? cup of radish juice and then gradually increase it to ? cup.. OR Soak 3-4 figs in a glass of water. Keep it overnight. Consume the figs on an empty stomach, the next day in the morning

VOMITING
Take 2 cardamoms/elachi and roast them on a dry pan (tava). Powder the cardamoms and thereafter add a tsp of honey in it. Consume it frequently. It serves as a fabulous home remedy for vomiting. OR In the mixture of 1 tsp of mint juice and 1 tsp limejuice, add 1 tsp of ginger juice and 1 tsp honey. Drink this mixture to prevent vomiting. *

*OR Limejuice is an effective remedy for vomiting. Take a glass of chilled limejuice and sip slowly. To prevent vomiting, drink ginger tea. OR In 1 glass water, add some honey and drink sip by sip. *

WARTS
Apply castor oil daily over the problematic area. Continue for several months. OR Apply milky juice of fresh and barely-ripe figs a number of times a day. Continue for two weeks. OR Rub cut raw potatoes on the affected area several times daily. Continue for at least two weeks. *

*OR Rub cut onions on the warts to stimulate the circulation of blood. OR Apply milk from the cut end of dandelion over the warts 2-3 times a day. OR Apply oil extracted from the shell of the cashew nut over the warts. OR Apply Papaya juice OR Apply Pineapple juice.*

URINARY TRACT INFECTION
Drink Cranberry juice. You can also add some apple juice for taste.

SINUSITIS
Mango serves as an effective home remedy for preventing the frequent attacks of sinus, as it is packed with loads of vitamin A. OR Another beneficial remedy consists of consuming pungent foods like onion and garlic, as a part of your daily meals. OR Fenugreek/methi leaves are considered valuable in curing sinusitis. In 250 ml water, boil 1 tsp of Fenugreek seeds and reduce it to half. This will help you to perspire, dispel toxicity and reduce the fever period. OR Tie a tsp of black cumin seeds in a thin cotton cloth and inhale.*

TONSILLITIS
Take a fresh lemon and squeeze it in a glass of water. Add 4 tsp of honey and ? tsp of salt in it. Drink it slowly sip by sip. OR Milk has proved beneficial in treating tonsillitis. In 1 glass of pure boiled milk, add a pinch of turmeric powder and pepper powder. Drink it every night for about 3 days. *

SABARIMALA YATRA VIDHANAM DETAILS

[Prime Rituals]

From the book published as SHRI MAHASASTRA POOJA KALPAM
(Written by Shri Bala Dandayudhapani Swamigal in the year 1942)There are thirty six rituals to be observed and followed for the SABARI MALA YATRA, out of which eighteen(18) DOs and eighteen(18) DONOTs are there..

Eighteen Do’s:-

1)MALADHARANAM:- For SABARIMALA YATRA, the prime duty is the Maladharanam. As far as possible the Mala, should be worn through Guruswamy with whom the Bhaktha intend to perform the Yatra. If Guruswamy could not be contacted, the wearing of the Mala can be had through his mother or father or at any temple Sannidhanam. The Mala can be of either Rudraksham or Tulasi.(2) As a main principle, Mala should be worn first and then the VRATHAM starts which should be observed for a minimum of 41 days and to be completed before the commencement of the Yatra.

(2) From the day of Mala Dharan and commencement of Vratham, the Bhaktas should take bath twice every day, i.e., early in the morning and after Sun set and to do small pooja at both the times. Also should chant SARANAMS before closing the Pooja.

(4) BRAMACHARIYAM:- Should be observed very strictly during the Vratham period till the reaching of their home after the Dharsanam and Abishekam at Sabarimala.

(5) During the Vratham period, Bakthas should take only limited food as required to subside the hunger.

(6) During this period always speak TRUTH and Talk LESS.

(7) What ever may be your daily work, you have to do for your livelihood, do it with full devotion on Lord Ayyappa and discharge it in the correct manner.

(8) Treat all living creatures, as they are also created by the GOD, like us.

(9) While talking with others (whether they are Ayyappa Swamis or not) the main Taraka Manthram, i.e. Swami Saranam should be uttered with every sentence you use.

(10) Try to be, as far as possible in the company of small Ayyappa group so that you can gain more experience about the Yatra and Vratham.

(11) During this period, as far possible, try to take part in the Poojas and Bhajans.

(12) Before the date of commencement of Yatra, within your capacity, if possible, do a small Pooja and do a small scale ANNADANAM to poor and needy people. The guidance in all the connected books clearly says that Ayyappas should do ANNADANAM to poor. Feeding Ayyappas Bhakthas with big feast, assuming that we are satisfying Lord Ayyappa, is a great Sin, as during this period the Ayyappa Bakthas should have restricted food.

(12) Try always to be calm and even when you are being provoked by others, control your temper and say the only word “ SARANAM AYYAPPA”

(14) Address all men as “Ayyappa or Swami” (Not only Vratham Ayyappas) and ladies and girls, including your wife as “MALIGAPURAM” and boys as “Manikanta”. Especially the Muslims should addressed as VAVAR SWAMY.

(15) The main principle of Ayyappa Deeksha is, that all religions and castes are to be treated as ONE. Any body (Whether they are Christians, Muslims or other religion) having faith in Ayyappa, can worship Him. Ladies can participate in Poojas and Bhajans, but only girls below 10 years who have not attained Maturity and Ladies who have reached menopause, after certain age, can very well perform the Yatra duly observing the Vratham.

(16) Manasa, Vaacha and Karmana (with mind, word and duty) have full devotion to Lord.

(17) Though there is no prescribed dress to wear during this Vratham and Yatra period, to distinguish you as Ayyappa on Deeksha either black, blue or saffron dresses can be worn.

(18) As your mind is always occupied with devotion, it is desired to have always atleast Viboothi or Kumkumam or Chandanam or Namam on the forehead.

Eighteen DONOT’s:-

(1) While speaking with others, do not address in singular forms. i.e., HE, SHE, IT etc.(2) Atleast from the date of Maladharan and the commencement of Vratham, till reaching home after Darsanam and removing of Mala, do not consume any alcoholic, intoxicating substance and to avoid eating non-vegeterian food.

(2) Avoid oil bath, smoking and chewing of pan during this period.

(4) Never get angry under any circumstances.

(5) Do not tell lies.

(6) Do not hurt others feelings either by word or action

(7) Do not take part in death ceremony. After the Mala dharan during the Vratham period, if any close relatives passes away, adhere to your family traditions and as far as possible avoid performing the Yatra this time. As per the advise of Guruswamy, late poojya Shri. Kambamkudi Meenakshisundaram, if it is of distant relatives, you can remove the Mala, take bath observe the morning for that period without removing the deeksha and on the completion of the said period, take bath, ,keeping three times very little cow dung every time and then chant SARANAM 108 times or if you had GAYATRI MANTRAM upadesam already, chant 108 times and wear the Mala after purifying it with Panchagavyam, through Guruswamy or in the temple.

(8) Do not tease anybody or any living things

(9) Do not earn illegal money.

(10) Do not scold any Ayyappa even they are your disciple.

(11) Do not point out other’s mistakes

(12) Do not take part in Court Cases and stand surety for anybody during this period.

(12) Do not take part in Dramas or in Cinemas in which you have to act in undesirable scenes and avoid seeing such Cinemas.

(14) Either knowingly or unknowingly, do not commit sins.

(15) Do not go near or touch ladies who are in monthly period. If it happens it is advised to have bath immediately and to take “PANCHAGAVYAM” if available or chant SARANAM 108 times before attending other works.

(16) Do not have shaving and hair cuttings during this period.

(17) Avoid sleeping day time and to avoid sleeping long time in night.

(18) As far as possible avoid taking solid food outside and consume only fresh food. If you have to take food outside, due to unavoidable circumstances, have it after bath and avoid spending money lavishly.

After having Dharsanam and after reaching home only remove the Malas. On reaching home, breaking coconut at entrance, keep the Prasadam at your Pooja place at home, take bath, do Harathi for the Prasadam with Naivedyam, distribute the Prasadam for the entire family of yours and then remove the Mala yourself, duly chanting Saranam or chanting the Manthras for the removal of Mala, if you know it. Removing the Mala en-route is not advisable.OTHER POINTS COMMONLY TO BE OBSERVED

(1) As you have to spend atleast two nights in the forest, during your Yatra and as you won’t get comfortable beds, it is advised to practice by sleeping on mats without pillows.

(2) In the book form which the above rituals are copied, there is no information about the particular kind of dress to be own during this period. But for identifying as Ayyappas, it has become a custom to wear either black, blue or saffron color dresses

(3) As the route through out the forest is slippery as well as with smooth rocks, it is advised to practice walking without foot wear during this period..

Headache is a common problem, specially among the working crowd. Headache is caused due to several factors, but we can put it under three broad categories –

1.Tension – This is the most common cause of headache. Tension creates a spasm of the muscles at the back of the neck. The muscle spasm gets the tissues over the surface of the cranium and thus, the pain is felt not only on in the neck but also on the forehead.

2.Migraine – Migraine is the abnormality of the nervous system. This strain on the nervous system is caused due to eye strain, shock, stomach disorders etc. Migraine is a chronic disease which needs medical attention.

3.Cluster Headache – Cluster headaches are repetitive and gets back several times in a month. These are generally caused due to constant pressure on the nerves like alcohol consumption, chain smoking etc.

Headaches are very disturbing and restricts your attention to the pain alone. At this moment pain killer seems to be the only solution to get relief form headache. Pain killers, however, have side effects. Here are few home remedies to get relief from headache –

1.For chronic headache, eat sliced apple with salt everyday in the morning for a week.

2.Crush lemon crust into a fine powder and make it into a paste with the use of water. Apply this on the forehead. This is quick relief form headache caused due to tension.

3.Apply a small amount of Eucalyptus oil on the center of the head and cover it with a towel dipped in warm water. This is one of the most effective ways of curing pain.

4.Put 3 drops of ghee in your nostrils for a week to get rid of headache from cold.

5.Drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of honey every morning to treat chronic headache.

6.Grind watermelon seeds with poppy seeds and consume three grams of it everyday if you are suffering constant pain.

7.Application of sandalwood paste on the forehead is one of the tradition ways of curing headache.

These seven tips will surely give you quick relief from headache and does not have any side effects. They not only get you relief from headache but also treats it, so that you don’t suffer the symptoms again.

The trust was formally established on 24th September 2007, to perpetuate the noble mission started by Param Poojya Shri Guruji Maharaj and was formally registered with Income tax authorities and was granted 80G certificate to enable its donors for contribute their mite for the noble mission the Trust had been doing for so many years. Thousands of people have benefited with divine grace of Guruji. The meaning of the word “LOKAKSHEMA” Lokakshema in Sanskrit means “welfare of the universe” the phrase used by all saints who worked for welfare of the beings in this universe through their spiritual powers spreading the message of compassion and love. This was common for all religions to remove the sufferings of the mankind and inspire them to share their compassion and love with their fellow beings. So the spirit of love and compassion is common amongst all religions of this world. So why this hatred when we work for a common cause. 1. Who established this trust? Dr PS Varadarajan, who has been blessed with number of supernatural powers (siddhis) by cosmic powers and energies of the universe and beyond for the welfare of mankind and removal of human sufferings. 2. Who is Dr PS Varadarajan? Dr PS Varadarajan is a man of simple living and high thinking, who has been blessed with number of supernatural powers (siddhis) by cosmic powers and energies of the universe and beyond. . He is born in a family of Vedic scholars and has been inculcated in the value and traditions of Indian civilisation of helping others and working for the welfare of the mankind. After his retirement from Indian government (railways) he has devoted his entire time, money and energies working for the removal of sufferings fellow human beings and has cured innumerable diseases, solved financial, social, economic, even political problems of all the people who approached him for help. He has been blessed by all god men as he has always shown respect to all of them even though he has innumerable supernatural powers within himself and rarely shows or exhibits anything publicly. The greatness of a man is known by his simplicity. His followers and disciples address him as Swamiji, Guruji, or mama (uncle). How can I join the Trust? You can join the Trust as an ordinary member by contributing Rs 1100 and you can contact Guruji for solution of your problems. Your name, rashi, gothra, etc would be included in the special Pujas conducted during the year and Prasadams shall be sent to the address you had mentioned in the membership form. You may join as a volunteer to take part in the charitable, social and religious activities of the Trust, You can also join as a life member, patron, donor member by contributing Rs 11000, Rs 51,000 or Rs 1.00 lakh, respectively and have your entire family included in the sankalpam for each Puja conducted by the Trust or its associate bodies. 4. Can I donate some money to the Trust? Yes, all donations to the Trust are eligible for exemption under section 80 G of the Indian Income Tax Act. However, contribution for Puja activities would not be covered under exemption.
