நாட்டில் எத்தனை எத்தனையோ வழக்கறிஞர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள்!! ஆனால் ஒரு தனிமனித ராணுவமாக இந்தியாவின் ஒரு மிகப் பெரிய ஊழல் சாம்ராஜ்யத்தை அசைத்துப் பார்த்த பெருமை அவருடையது!! அதுவும் எந்த வித வழக்கு வாய்தா என்று இல்லாமல் சாதாரணமாக நாம் நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் RTI சட்டத்தின் மூலம் !!!! இவர் போல உள்ளவர்கள் நம்மால் வணங்கப்பட வேண்டும்!! கவுரவிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதில் எந்த சந்தேகமுமில்லை!!! அச்சமே கண்டு அச்சப்படும் உண்மையான அஞ்சாநெஞ்சனாகிய இவர் என்னுடைய நண்பராக இருப்பதை இந்த சுதந்திர நாள் வரப்போகும் தருணத்தில் பெருமையாக உணர்கிறேன்!!! உண்மையிலேயே இவர் வேலுபாய்தான் என்பதில் எந்த சந்தேகமுமில்லை!!!

ஓன்று தெரியுமா? கடந்த எட்டு ஆண்டுகளாக நடக்கிறது ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சி.

அவருடைய ஆராய்சிகளுக்கு கொடுத்த பண உதவியை அமெரிக்க அரசும் நிறுவனங்களும் நிறுத்தி விட்டதால் பெருமளவில் தமது பணியை அவரால் தொடர முடியவில்லை!! அவருடைய 79 வயதில் மர்மமான முறையில் கார் ஒன்றால் மோதப்பட்டு விபத்துக்குள்ளானார்!! அதன் பின்னரும் சில ஆண்டுகள் உயிருடன் இருந்த அவர் 1943 ஆம் ஆண்டு 86 வயதில் மரணமடைந்தார்!! நமது மதம் இத்தகைய விஞ்ஞான ரகசியங்களைக் கொண்டது என்பதற்கு டெஸ்லா ஒரு உதாரணம்!!

Here are the highlights of his speech:

My beloved countrymen, today Indians all over are celebrating Independence Day. My dear Indians, my greetings to all of you on this day. I am here not as pradhan mantri (Prime Minister) but as pradhan sevak (prime servant in service of country). (PM Modi’s Independence Day Speech: Who Said What) Independence can became an inspiration to take India to new heights. These days give us inspiration and they showcase the national character. These days can inspire us to take India to newer heights. This country has not been made by politicians, kings or governments. It has been made by farmers, labourers, youth, our mothers and sisters. Our country has progressed because of the hard work of all these people. I salute all those who sacrificed themselves for India’s freedom. (PM Modi’s Top 10 Quotes) It is the pride of Constitution that a boy from a poor family has unfurled the flag at Red fort today. It is the strength of our Constitution. I thank the makers of the Constitution. All the previous governments have a hand in developing India. The state governments have a hand in it as well. I offer my respects to all previous governments and Prime Ministers. We should walk together, work together and progress together. We should move ahead with thismantra. This I say standing under the Tricolour. I am an outsider to Delhi. But an outsider came to Delhi and got an insider view in the last two months. (I Am an Outsider to Delhi, Stresses PM Modi in His Speech) This is not a platform for politics but nation building. The government should have the same direction, the same intention. Some say now that Modi government is here, people have started going to work at the right time. Should government officials going to work at the right time be in the news in this country? I want to remind government servants that they are not merely doing a job, they are providing a service. I want to expedite the nation-building process by encouraging the capabilities of government functionaries. From a chaprasi to Cabinet Secretary, every government servant in competent. We will harness that strength. We want to move forward not on the basis of majority but on consensus. The first Parliament session of our government just concluded yesterday. The session reflects our thinking. We don’t believe in the force of majority. We worked with everyone, we took everyone along. The credit for this goes not to the PM but the MPs and the Opposition. With an insider’s view, I found that there are many governments within a government. One department was fighting with another department. How can we work for the country if we fight amongst ourselves? I have tried to break the walls. I want the government to be an organic unity and not an assembled entity. I assure you that people in the government and government offices are extremely capable. Isn’t it our responsibility to build a nation our freedom fighters dreamed of, the nation they gave their lives for? When we hear about incidents of rape, our heads hang in shame. I want to ask every mother and father, you ask your daughters ‘where are you going, who are you going with’. But do you ever ask your sons these questions? After all, those who rape are also someone’s son. (PM on Rape Cases: Correct Sons, Don’t Question Daughters) Everyone is busy giving their psychological opinions on rape. We have to rise above mera kya – mujhe kya (what am I getting out of this); some things have to be done for the greater national good. I appeal to the doctors not to kill the girl-child in the mother’s womb. I request the parents not to kill the girl-child because they want a son. (One Daughter Can Serve Parents More Than 5 Sons: PM) Indian sportsmen brought pride to our country in the Commonwealth Games. 29 Indian women won medals at the CWG. Give up the path of violence, think of brotherhood and work for the country. Communalism and caste violence are obstacles to India’s growth. The law will take its own path but we need to take responsibility to bring our sons who deviated from right path to bring them back. If 125 crore people work together, India will move forward 125 crore steps. (Watch PM’s Entire Speech and Rate it Here) We have not got anything from the path of violence. Today our farmer commits suicide because he cannot repay his debt. We want to give the poor the benefit of bank accounts. Under the PM’s jan dhan yojna, the poor will be given insurance through debit card for up to Rs. 1 lakh. We want to integrate the poorest of the poor with bank accounts. With the gun you can make the earth red but if you have a plough you can make the earth green. Come, Make in India. (Come, Make In India: PM Modi’s Invite To the World) We have the capability. Invite companies from all sectors. I invite our youth involved in manufacturing to ensure that all over the world, products say ‘Made in India’. Why should we have to import things when we have such capable young citizens? Out of all the things we import, I will ensure that we start making at least one of those in India. Let us think about zero-defect production with no adverse effect on the environment. The world used to think we are a land of snake charmers and black magic. But our youth has surprised the world with its IT skills. I dream of a digital India. (‘No Snake Charmers Or Black Magic, We are Digital India’, Says PM Modi) We want to forge ahead with digital India. We want to give good governance through E-governance. E-Governance is easy governance, effective governance. We have to move towards ‘Digital India’. Our mission is skill development. There can be no development with a jaded system. The world has changed. India cannot sit isolated in one corner and determine its future. We import electronic goods, but if we start manufacturing these, it will benefit the country. Want to increase tourism. Tourism provides employment to a lot of people. When I became the PM, the first task I took up was that of cleaning. People were surprised. If we keep our country clean, no one can come from outside and spoil it. (A Toilet For Every School, Says PM Modi, Calling for ‘Clean India’) I don’t know whether people will appreciate me talking about dirt & toilets from Red Fort but I come from a poor family. All schools should have toilets. There should be separate toilets for schools. I urge all MPs to spend one year’s funds to construct toilets. In 2019, ensuring cleanliness will be the most fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary. Gandhiji emphasised on cleanliness. We should ensure that every road, school, office, locality and neighbourhood is clean. It is a shame that our women have to wait for darkness to go out in the open to defecate. Can’t we build toilets for the security of our women? There are many schemes named after the PM and many leaders. Today I announce a scheme in the name of Parliament. A scheme for villages. Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. By 2016, MPs should have at least made one village an ideal village. If we want to develop India, we need to develop villages. By the end of five years, each MP should have converted at least five villages into ideal villages. We will keep the blue-print of this scheme in front the MPs on October 11. There has been much speculation about the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission was made according to the country’s needs back then. The country has changed, its needs have changed. Times have changed from the time the Planning Commission was created. (Bye-Bye, Planning Commission. PM Says It’s Over.) If we want to take the country forward, the states have to be taken forward. Sometimes renovating an old house takes a lot of money and we are still not satisfied, hence it is better to build a new one. With the object of building a partnership between the Centre and the state, with the object of strengthening our country, we will soon create a new institution. We fought for freedom together. We had no government, no weapons to help us. We defeated such a big empire without any government, without any arms. Let us today defeat poverty together. We should fight with the world against poverty. Together, with SAARC nations, we can became a world power. SAARC nations together can work to remove poverty. Leaders of SAARC nations came to the swearing-in ceremony. It was a good sign.

The Tragic Story Of Partition

One of the most important chapter in the Indian history

1. Chronology of event leading to partition:

1857
Freedom Struggle: Hindus and Muslims protested British rule in one voice and started freedom struggle. Here is when British rulers found out the way "DIVIDE AND RULE" policy as the only way out for continuation of rule. So they promoted Muslims and gave them free gift of land captured from Hindus during the said war. (40)

1885
1. Indian National Congress was formed by British Hume for support of British rule. The purpose told was social and political reforms.
2. Christianity: British sent missionaries for conversion of poor, backward, forest residents and Harijans who supported British after conversion to Christianity.
3. English education and forming elite class: Lord Mackole gave special teachings of English to qualify Indians. The ‘English knowing’ new class of people was formed who separated themselves from other Indians to believe them ‘elite’ class – superior to others. They unknowingly united themselves with English people and supported them.

1888
Anglo-Oriental-Defense Association: Theodor Beck (Principal of Aligarh College) formed this association for Muslims right protection and for getting support to British rule from Muslims.

1899
Indian National Congress at Lucknow annual meeting gave special attractions to Muslims like free tickets for conference, free food, free Muslim traditional dress and Rs. 10 daily allowance at conference to get their support against British and make them loyal to Congress.

Khilafat Movement telling Khalifa of Turkistan as the Sultan representing Allah and considered head of Islamic world.
Gandhiji agreed to support Khilafat movement and congress followed. (76)

Keralite Muslims doing Mopala agitation telling "Jehad" killed 2266 people, wounded 1615, converted 20,000 Hindus to Islam and looted property worth 3 Crore rupees. (84)

1922
Indian National Conference annual meeting accepted under leadership of Chitaranjan Das accepted that Hindu-Muslim unity is impossible.

1924
Gandhiji supported Muslims for their nature of being attacker and criticized Hindus for their so called inherent cowardness.

1932
British Prime Minister MacDonald declared "Religious decision" for giving reservation on religion base and separate voters council for Muslims, Sikhs, Dalits, Christians, Europeans and Anglo-Indian showing their "DIVIDE and RULE" policy. (114)

1933
Word Pakistan was coined telling: P=Punjab, A=Afghanistan, K=Kashmir, S=Sindh and Tan=Baluchistan

1942
Kripps Mission offered conditional and partial Independence with minority having "veto" for saying "NO". It failed.
British-Muslim league and communist axis established. (164)

1943
3-March-1943: Demand for Pakistan put forward in the assembly of Sindh.
Sindh assembly gave slogan "Buy from Muslims only”.
Sindh assembly banned Aryasamaji book Satya Prakash – 14. (166)

1944
9-September-1944: After 19 days dialogue between Gandhiji and Mohmad Ali Jinah, Gandhiji surrendered to him. (170)

1946
16-August-1946 Direction Action Day. Calcutta Muslim League, Chief Minister Suharawardi and Mayor Sharif Khan called "Jehad" and "Leke Rahenge Hindustan" killing 17000, wounding 15000 and making 1 lac homeless Hindus.

1947
3-June-1947: Declaration. British Government, Indian National Congress and Muslim League agreed and declared partition of India. (212)

Why partition of India took place?

1 British Government’s “Divide and Rule” policy.
2 Muslim League leaders’ fighting and religious policy (particularly of Aga Khan and Mohmad-Ali-Jinah).
3 Indian National Congress’ wrong politics and surrender (Mahatma Gandhiji and Rajaji in particular).

IT IS SAD THAT AFTER INDEPENDENCE SUCCESSIVE CONGRESS AND OTHER GOVERNMENTS ENCOURAGED THIS POLICY OF DIVIDE AND RULE, APPEASEMENT OF MUSLIMS AND INSTIGATING THEM AGAINST HINDUS FOR THEIR VOTE BANK POLITICS. WE CAN DEVELOP AS A NATION ONLY IF WE FORGET RELIGION, CASTE, CREED, REGION AND STAND UNITED AS INDIANS AND WORK WITH SOLIDARITY AND SINCERITY TO MAKE THIS NATION THE BEST IN THE WORLD. WE SHOULD NOT SUCCUMB TO PRESSURES FROM ANY QUARTERS BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL. UNITED WE STAND WE CAN CONQUER And overcome all odds and emerge victors.

நம் இந்தியாவிற்கு நள்ளிரவில் சுதந்திரம ் ஏன்?

நம் இந்தியாவிற்கு நள்ளிரவில் சுதந்திரம் ஏன்?
1947 லேயே என்ன ஒரு ராஜ தாந்திரம் !
மவுண்ட்பேட்டன் இந்தியாவிற்க்கு சுதந்திரம் வழங்க முடிவு செய்துவிட்டு இங்கிலாந்து பாராளமன்ற அனுமதியும் பெற்றுவிட்டார், இதனை பத்திரிகையாளர் மத்தியில் அறிவிக்கும் போது ஒரு நிருபர் என்ன தேதி (தினத்தில்) சுதந்திரம் கொடுக்க நினைத்துள்ளீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார். அதுவரை அது பற்றி யோசித்திராத மவுண்ட்பேட்டனின் மனதில் உடனடியாக வந்த தேதி ஆகஸ்ட் 15.
இரண்டாம் உலகப்போரில் ஜப்பானை சேர்ந்த 1,50,000 வீரர்கள் கிழ்க்கு ஆசியா கடற்படை கமாண்டராக இருந்த மவுண்ட்பேட்டனிடம 1945 ஆகஸ்ட் 15இல் (இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்) சரண்டைந்தனர். எனவே ஆகஸ்ட் 15 அவர் வாழ்நாளில் மறக்க முடியாது தேதி, அதனால் ஆகஸ்ட் 15 இல் இந்தியாவிற்க்கும சுதந்திரம் கொடுக்க முடிவு செய்தார்.
இவர் இதனை அறிவித்தவுடன் இந்தியாவிலுள்ள நம்மவர்கள் அந்த ஆகஸ்டு 15-ம் நாள் அஷ்டமி தினம் என்றும், அன்று நாடு சுதந்திரம் பெற்றால் நாடு நலம் பெறுமா எனவும் ஐயப்பாடு கொண்டனர். 17-ம் தேதி வேண்டுமானால் சுதந்திரம் பெறுவோம்; இவ்வளவு நாள்கள் பொறுத்தோம் இன்னும் இரண்டு நாள்கள் பொறுக்க முடியாதா என அங்கலாய்த்தனர்.
ஐவஹர்லால் நேருவிடம் இதுபற்றி முறையிட்டனர். அவருக்கு அஷ்டமி-நவமி இவற்றில் எல்லாம் நம்பிக்கை கிடையாது. இருந்தாலும் மற்றவர்களின் வேண்டுகோளுக்கு இணங்க ஆங்கில அரசை அணுகினார். சட்டம் இயற்றியாகிவிட்டத. இனிமாற்ற முடியாது என்று ஆங்கில அரசு மறுத்துவிட்டது. நம்மவர்கள் தீவிரமாக யோசித்தனர்.
ஆங்கிலேயர்களுக்க புதியநாள் அதாவது மறுநாள் என்பது நள்ளிரவு 12 மணிக்கே தொடங்கிவிடுகிறது. ஆனால் நமக்கோ விடியற்காலை ஐந்து மணிக்குத்தான் தொடங்குகிறது. எனவே நள்ளிரவில் சுதந்திரம் வாங்கினால் ஆங்கில அரசுக்கு அது 15-ம் தேதியாகவும் நம்மவர்களுக்கு முக்கிய நாளாகவும் இருப்பதால் அஷ்டமி-நவமி பிரச்னை இல்லாது போகும் என்று நினைத்தனர். இதனால் தான் சுதந்திரத்தை பகலில் பெறாமல் நள்ளிரவில் பெற்றோம்.
இந்த சுதந்திரதேசிய கொடிக்காக எத்தனையோ பேர் தியாகம் செய்தார்கள்.
சும்மா சும்மா பேசி வாங்கினதில்லை இந்த சுதந்திரம்.
அத்தனை தியாகிகளையும் வணங்குவோம்.
அன்னிய சக்திகளை முறியடிப்போம்.
சுதந்திர தின நல் வாழ்த்துக்கள் நண்பர்களே!!
பாகிஸ்தான்/சீனா மீது எப்போதும் ஒரு கண் இருக்க வேண்டும்.

இனிய சுதந்திர தின வாழ்த்துக்கள்

ஒரு பத்து வயது குழந்தையின் பிறந்த நாள் கொண்டாடப்படும்போது

ஏன் இந்த குழந்தை கல்லூரி படிப்பை முடிக்கவில்லை
பத்து வயதாகியும் கல்லூரி படிக்காத இந்த குழந்தையின் பிறந்தநாள் எல்லாம் ஒரு கேடா

என்று கேட்பது எவ்வளவு “புத்திசாலித்தனமோ”

அதே விட பல மடங்கு “புத்திசாலித்தனம்”

இந்தியாவில் அனைவருக்கும் கல்வி, நலம், உரிமை, நிலம் இல்லை என்பதால் சுதந்திர தினத்தை கொண்டாடக்கூடாது என்று கூறுவது

இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் மூன்று வேளை உண்ண முடியாதவர்கள் உள்ளார்கள்
இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் பள்ளி செல்லாத குழந்தைகள் உள்ளார்கள்
இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் மருத்துவ வசதிகள் அனைவருக்கும் இல்லை
இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் அரசின் சேவைகள் முழுவதும் சென்று சேரவில்லை
இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் பேரூந்து வசதியில்லாத கிராமங்கள் உள்ளன
இந்தியாவின் இன்னமும் மின்சார வசதியில்லாத கிராமங்கள் உள்ளன

இதெல்லாம் குறைதான்
நாம் செல்ல வேண்டியது தூரம் நிறையத்தான்

ஆனால்

இதற்கெல்லாம் சுதந்திரத்தை குறை சொல்வது என்ன நியாயம்

எனவே இந்த பாதி நிறைந்துள்ளது என்று கூறவேண்டுமா, அல்லது பாதி காலி என்று கூற வேண்டுமா ?

இந்த கேள்விக்கு விடையளிக்கும் முன்னர் நேற்று இந்த கோப்பை எப்படி இருந்தது என்று பார்க்க வேண்டும்

நேற்று இந்த கோப்பை முற்றிலும் காலியாக இருந்திருந்து, இன்று பாதி நீர் இருந்தால், கோப்பை நிறைந்து கொண்டுள்ளது என்று அர்த்தம். எனவே கோப்பை பாதி நிறைந்துள்ளது
