From Delhi to Thailand, by road? Gadkari says possible in 2016

From Delhi to Thailand, by road? Gadkari says possible in 2016

When it’s about highways, Nitin Gadkari — the ‘flyover man from Maharashtra’ — seems to know the way to take it to a new high and his latest is linking Delhi with Thailand for an over 4,000-km road trip in 2016.

"I don’t believe in empty words… What I say I do," the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways said while listing out his priorities for the new year.

As he sought to implement a number of initiatives in the year passing by to expand the road network in the country and removing the bottlenecks, Gadkari said his target is now to take the road building capacity to 100 km a day.

"We are building 18 km a day at present from a mere 2 km a day inherited by us from previous government," said Gadkari who had earlier this year set himself a target of 30 kms per day within two years.

"We will meet our previously announced target of 30 km a day in March 2016," he added.

"The way you travel to Mumbai on your car via Delhi, the same way you will be able to reach Thailand, hopefully, by the next year. It is a revolutionary work… People will not believe (now)," Gadkari told PTI in an interview here.

Talking about the progress made on various fronts in the roads and highways sector during 2015, Gadkari said projects worth lakhs of crores of rupees are being completed.

"Driving through India and its congested cities, towns and villages would be a breeze. Not only you can reach Bhutan and Myanmar through bigger, wider and better road network but once the Chabahar deal in Iran is clinched, you will be driving all the way to Russia and Europe via Iran and Afghanistan once you reach Chabahar via sea or air from India.

"This is the dream for which government is willing to pump lakhs of crores of rupees," he said.

"Nothing is impossible," said Gadkari who has been known as one of the key persons behind the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna’ project. The "Flyover man from Maharashtra" tag comes from his work on creating a network of flyovers and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway before he came to Centre.

"A trilateral pact between India-Myanmar-Thailand (IMT) is expected by March 2016," Gadkari said while adding that the landmark Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal (BBIN) Motor Pact has already been inked with identification of 14 routes for passenger services and 7 routes for cargo movement.

"Work on the USD 8 billion road connectivity BBIN project is likely to be completed soon with ADB funding," he said.

Once BBIN and IMT are operationalised, a seamless vehicular movement between SAARC and ASEAN nations will become a reality and "I hope that this will happen very soon", he said.

He said India will soon begin work on building a sea-bridge and a tunnel connecting Sri Lanka, while ADB is ready to fully-finance the Rs 24,000 crore project connecting Rameshwaram to Sri Lanka.

On domestic front, the targets include building up to 16 express highways, making Delhi congestion free by 2017 and laying a green canopy on thousands of kilometres of national highways. India has the world’s second largest road network.

"At least Rs 5,000 crore, one per cent of the Rs 5 lakh crore worth of road projects, will be spent on greening of highways," Gadkari said.

To transform India’s 96,000-km network of National Highways (NHs) into green corridors, the government has come out with a Green Highways Policy under which it will be mandatory to set aside 1 per cent of the total project cost for plantation.

"I will transform India’s infrastructure in a manner that after five years, people would not be able to believe what they are seeing," Gadkari said while listing out his ‘incredible-sounding’ ideas.

Gadkari said he inherited Rs 3.8 lakh crore worth of stuck projects on account of land and environmental disputes. This forced developers into debt and the problem has been further compounded by the fact that 30 per cent of all loans are to the infrastructure sector.

A confident Gadkari however said the government is committed to providing at least 50 lakh jobs to people in the highways and shipping sectors.

Something to learn from Bill Gates

Something to learn from Bill Gates

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not will not learn in school.
He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of
reality how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Problem and Solutioin

A Mother was reading a magazine and her cute little daughter every now and then distracted her.

To keep her busy, she tore one page on which was printed the map of the world.

She tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.

She was sure her daughter would take a lot more time and probably whole of day to get it done.

But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map.

When she asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, "Oh Mom, there is a man’s face on the other side of the paper. I made the face perfect to get the map right." she ran outside to play leaving the mother surprised.

Moral : Perhaps there is always the other side to whatever you experience in this world.

This story indirectly teaches a lesson. That is:
Whenever we come across a challenge or a puzzling situation, Look at the other side…

Will be surprised to see an easy way to tackle the problem or an acute difficulty.

Thiruvathirai (Aruthra Tharisanam) will be celebrated on 26th Dec 2015

Thiruvathirai (Aruthra Tharisanam) will be celebrated on 26th Dec 2015

Arudra Darisanam, a festival dedicated to Lord Nataraja, is major event in the Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu. This festival is observed during the full moon night in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December-January).

This is a grand festival in which abhisheks are offered to Lord Nataraja and Sivakami, his consort. The rituals are held in the pre-dawn hours, when the moon is still shining brightly. Various ceremonies are held amid the holy chants in Sanskrit and Tamil. A grand procession is later taken through the streets.

Thiruvathira festival is also celebrated in Kerala, but for a different reason. It is more of a women festival in Kerala with women emulating Goddes parvati, who tries to get Shiva as her husband.

THIRUVATHIRAI KALI (MASHED FLOUR): Cendanar of Naukoor, a disciple of Paddinattu Adigal, used to eat only after feeding some Saiva devotees. Due to a constant bad weather he could not get together all the essentials for a proper meal. He had no option but to mix water with flour and prepare a mashed paste. Lord Siva understood his predicament. He wanted the people to know how sincere his devotee was to him. Therefore he disguised himself as a Siva devotee and visited Cendanar’s hut and enjoyed what was given to him as food. The temple attendants saw the premises scattered with the mashed paste the following morning. Inquiries led to an understanding of Cendanar’s piety and he was thereafter bestowed with all due respect. This incident took place in a Markali Thiruvathirai. This is why Thiruvathirai Kali forms an important prasad on this holy day.

How to celebrate Thiruvadhirai: On this auspicious day, unmarried women and girls should take oil bath and wear new clothes. Clean the house, decorate the pooja room by putting kolam and make the unmarried girls or children sit near the kolam and place a banana leaf and keep 1 ladle of thiruvadhirai kali along with thalagam, beetle leaves(Vetrilai), banana, coconut and do neivedhyam and seek the blessings of the God Lord Shiva.

Thiruvathirai Kali

Thiruvathirai Kali is prepared on the auspicious occasion of Thiruvathirai. Cendanar of Naukoor, a disciple of Paddinattu Adigal, used to eat only after feeding some Saiva devotees. Due to a constant bad weather he could not get together all the essentials for a proper meal. He had no option but to mix water with flour and prepare a mashed paste. Ingredients:

Raw Rice 1 Cup

Water 3 Cups
Moong dal 2 tablespoon
Cardamom 4
Grated Coconut 4 tablepsoon
Cashews 6
Ghee 2 tablespoon

Method:

  1. Wash the raw rice in a water and rinse it. Immediately after rinsing put the rinsed rice in a Kadaai and fry it until the rice becomes golden brown color.

kali1a.jpgkali2a.jpg

Grind the Raw Rice in a mixer and the rice powder should be like Rawa. Take the contents in a bowl. Put the moongdhal in the kadaai and fry it till it becomes golden brown color kali2b.jpgkali3a.jpg

Pour one cup of water to cook the dhal. It will take approximately 5 minutes to cook. The dhal need not cook completely. It should be in half boiled consistency. If you take one of the dhal and press it with your fingers, then it should get smashed. This is the right consistency. While the dhal is getting cooked, you can prepare the jaggery juice in parallel. Heat another pan, add water (till the jaggery immersed in the water completely) and add grated jaggery. kali3b.jpgkali4a.jpg

When the jaggery dissolves completely in water, strain it to remove dust and sand particles. Keep the strained jaggery juice in a separate bowl kali4b.jpgKali5a.jpg

Once the dhal is almost cooked, pour two cups water, strained jaggery juice and a pinch of salt. When the jaggery mixture begins to boil, add the powdered rice and stir well to avoid bumps. (like we do for the preparation of upma) kali5b.jpgkali6a.JPG

Powder the cardamon and add it along with the grated cocunut. Fry the cashews in the ghee and add to the kali. Add the remaining ghee to the kali and stir it one. kali6b.jpgkali7b.jpg

Keep the flame low and allow it to cook in low flame for 5 minutes and then remove from flame kali18a.jpg

The yummy Kali is ready for Neivedhyam

the country is being destroyed by two types of cancer Corruption and reservation… pls read

A Parsi high court judge made the following remarks in his recent judgement. Unfortunately our law makers are going to impeach him for this para. Let’s see what he said and decide.

If I am asked by any one to name two things, which has destroyed this country or rather, has not allowed the country, to progress in the right direction, then the same is, (i) Reservation and (ii) Corruption. It is very shameful for any citizen of this country to ask for reservation after 65 years of independence. When our Constitution was framed, it was understood that the reservation would remain for a period of 10 years, but unfortunately, it has continued even after 65 years of independence. The biggest threats, today, for the country is corruption. The countrymen should rise and fight against corruption at all levels, rather than shedding blood and indulging in violence for the reservation. The reservation has only played the role of an amoeboid monster sowing seeds of discord amongst the people. The importance of merit, in any society, cannot be understated. The merit stands for a positive goal and when looked at instrumentally, stands for “rewarding those actions that are considered good”. Then, this instrumental nature of merit that should be given importance – emphasizing on and rewarding merit is a means towards achieving what is regarded as good in the society. The parody of the situation is that India must be the only country wherein some of the citizens crave to be called backward.

One has to wonder why is going to be impeached by MPs (mostly Congress MPs) . If you don’t believe this news, here is the link. http://deshgujarat.com/2015/12/18/58-mps-move-motion-to-impeach-gujarat-high-court-judge/

You don’t have to candle march to support the judge. Just spread the word by sharing this with your whatsapp friend, if you can. That’s minimum we can do to keep our judiciary independent.

Regards

The Tallest Mountains On Earth

0 meters (26,250 feet), and to climb any of them represents one of the biggest challenges known to man. The 8000m mark is so coveted because it is above this height that climbers enter the ‘Death Zone’; the point at which oxygen levels are not sufficient enough to sustain human life. Of course this small fact has not stopped people from attempting to climb these wondrous mountains in pursuit of fulfilled dreams, iconic landmarks and the spectacular views of the world below that these skyscraping peaks offer. Here are the 14 eight-thousanders, along with some fascinating information about the peaks, and man’s attempts to climb them.

1. Mount Everest (or Sagamatha/Chomolungma) (Himalayas – Tibet/Nepal)

Height: 8848 meters (29,029 feet)
First Ascent: 1953
8000ers

Everest is a world icon and comfortably the tallest mountain on the planet as of today. Climbing it was once the preserve of the most skilled and experienced mountaineers in the world, but capable and willing climbers can now hire guides and make an attempt on the summit. That does not mean the challenge should be taken lightly – many have perished on the mountain and decades-old corpses still line the route to the top. Nevertheless, climbing Everest is still seen as one of the most incredible acts of human endurance and appeals to many adventurous tourists who spend tens of thousands of dollars in an attempt to reach their goal.

2. K2 (Karakoram Range, Pakistan China)

Height: 8611 meters (28,251 feet)
First Ascent: 1955
8000ers

3. Kangchenjunga (Himalayas, Nepal India)

Height: 8586 meters (28,169 feet)
First Ascent: 1956
8000ers

All fourteen mountains are still growing. Everest continues to grow at a rate of around 4mm a year, which is roughly the average for the rest of the top 10 tallest too, although there is one exception – Nanga Parbat. Nanga Parbat is the fastest growing mountain on the planet, and currently grows at a rate of about 7mm a year, nearly twice as quickly as Everest. This means that one day, it could conceivably become the tallest mountain on Earth if the current growth rates continue, but it will take a while – about 181,250 years to be precise!
4. Lhotse (Himalayas, Nepal Tibet)

Height: 8516 meters (27,940 feet)
First Ascent: 1956
8000ers

5. Makalu (Himalayas, Nepal China)

Height: 8485 meters (27,838 feet)
First Ascent: 1955
8000ers

The first recorded attempt to climb an eight-thousander came in 1895 when Albert F. Mummery and J. Norman Collie tried to climb Nanga Parbat. The attempt failed when Mummery and two Gurkhas they had enlisted for the expedition were killed in an avalanche. It was another 55 years until an eight-thousander was successfully conquered (and recorded), when French climbers Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal summited Annapurna I in 1950.

6. Cho Oyu (Himalayas, Nepal Tibet)

Height: 8188 meters (26,864 feet)
First Ascent: 1954)
8000ers

7. Dhaulagiri I

Height: 8167 meters (26,795 feet)
First Ascent: 1960
8000ers

The successful ascent of Annapurna in 1950 triggered a series of successful climbs of the other 8000m peaks, including Everest by Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1953. However, some believe that the British expedition led by George Mallory and Andrew Irvine successfully summitted Everest in 1924, before both went missing on the way back down. Mallory’s body was not found until 1999, and his camera has never been recovered, so it’s impossible to know if he and Irvine made it to the top. The last eight-thousander to be successfully climbed is also the smallest – Shishapangma, which remained unconquered for so long largely because Tibetan authorities would not grant foreign climbers the authority to attempt an ascent.

8. Manaslu (Himalayas, Nepal)

Height: 8156 meters (26,759 feet)
First Ascent: 1956
8000ers

9. Nanga Parbat (Himalayas, Pakistan)

Height: 8126 meters (26,545 feet)
First Ascent: 1953
8000ers

Legendary Italian climber Reinhold Messner was the first person to successfully climb all 14 eight-thousanders, completing the incredible feat in October 1986 when he reached the peak of Lhotse. Since he completed his challenge, he has never climbed another eight-thousander. Messner completed all his summits without the use of supplemental oxygen, an achievement not repeated for another nine years. A total of 33 climbers have now ascended all 14 mountains without bottled oxygen, while Phurba Tashi of Nepal has completed the most climbs with 30 successful eight-thousander summits to his name.

10 Annapurna I (Himalayas, Nepal)

Height: 8091 meters (26,545 feet)
First Ascent: 1950
8000ers

11. Gasherbrum I or Hidden Peak (Karakoram Range, Pakistan China)

Height: 8080 meters (26,059 feet)
First Ascent: 1958
8000ers

Height does not necessarily correlate with difficulty, although Everest does provide a huge challenge due to the amount of time a climber is required to spend in the Death Zone. That said, Annapurna I, the 10th highest mountain in the world, is often said to be the most difficult to climb and has a very low success rate, alongside an extremely high fatality rate, which was once upward of 40% but has now fallen to around 32%. Annapurna’s difficulty comes from its glacial ‘architecture’, which includes huge ice cliffs, sheer sides and massive seracs that are often disorientating. K2, Kangchenjunga and Nanga Parbat (often referred to as ‘Killer Mountain’) are also notoriously difficult to climb, with heavy risk of avalanche and rock fall.

12. Broad Peak or K3 (Karakoram Range, Pakistan China)

Height: 8051 meters (26,414 feet)
First Ascent: 1957
8000ers

13. Gasherbrum II (Karakoram Range, Pakistan China)

Height: 8035 meters (26,352 feet)
First Ascent: 1956
8000ers

You don’t have to climb these mountains to get a good view of them. There are plenty of opportunities for trekkers of all ages and fitness levels to spend some time in and around the ranges to get some spectacular views of the highest peaks in the world. One of the most special views is afforded by Gokyo Ri in Nepal, a 5,357m (17,575 ft) peak that can be ascended from the small, beautiful town of Gokyo in around four hours, From the top, climbers are afforded a magnificent view of a whole range of skyscraping mountains, including four of the eight-thousanders – Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Thousands and thousands of tourists flock to Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan and China every year to marvel at these lofty, natural wonders.

14. Shishapangma or Gosainthan (Himalayas, Tibet)

Height: 8027 meters (26,335 feet)
First Ascent: 1964
8000ers

Real Tolerant Indians for centuries and still tolerating: Read Cho Ramaswamy’s write-up

Real Tolerant Indians for centuries and
still tolerating: Read Cho Ramaswamy’s write-up in Tughlaq
The President has complained that the people be more tolerant and understanding – Fantastic and very commendable.
Let us analyse our tolerance level and find where we are lacking .

1.Politicians have improved from their corruption target of few lakhs to 1.76-2.0 lakh crores and we tolerate them.
2.Election time – self declaration wealth of 1000 crores, and we never asked them from where they got this from their previous statement of few lakhs 5 years back. Not only that we accept his so many privileges and subsidised everything from idlies to plane tickets and “ Z plus ‘ security and traffic snarls because of their movement.
3. We also tolerate that sons and relatives are the natural choice of becoming their successors in positions like CM, ministers etc We justify that by saying we are used to Rajah and Zamindars and we accept them as their right.
4.Parliament and assemblies have become circus arena and fish market with shouting, counter shouting, flinging of objects and abuses. We appreciate their heroic sense of responsibility and praise them with poems and lectures on their achievements.
5. For 50 years each successive government have promised to bring in the black money and they are still trying !.Endless list of offenders, bank cheaters, fraudsters are published by all media with proofs. But they continue to live the same lavish style and are very well taken care by the politicians. They scratch each others back. We just don’t bother and ignore saying “ nothing is going to happen “ and just get on with our own miserable life.
6. Fake doctors, fake lawyers, fake teachers, fake medicines fake everything ! many times they look better than originals-Do we complain – No, Mr President.
7.Our pride, the” excellent” condition of roads , water contamination, power cuts, hospital hygiene , we never complain and we learn to live them and adjust to realities.
8.Doctors steal kidneys, teachers help students to copy ( even a DIG was caught copying recently) bank officials loot the bank cash in their own way, police help the criminals What happens – nothing It is all tv entertainment news for us . We sit and enjoy the loud talk shows and debates and forget everything the very next moment. We are not ashamed that the rest of world is laughing at us and we are jeopardizing the values of our institutions and students.
9.Government lavishly throw money meant for development for freebies like tv, mixies, grinders, goats, cycles and laptops ( only to their party affiliates ) and call it their achievement .We admire them and make posters ,cutouts 50-60 ft high right in the middle of roads and garland them.
10. Corruption in all levels and our bureaucracy is brilliant in devising ways to collect money from public. . Any alternate or improvement is shot down promptly, by devising method to subvert and bypass them. No can ever beat them in short circuiting the system and make it ineffective.
11.Pakistan crosses our border and beheads our soldiers and China tells us to vacate from our own land . Do we object –NO . we only warn them and we are tolerant.
12. There is Power shortage, Rape, farmers suicide, drought ,river water fights between states. Do we bother. We are only concerned with why Dhoni did not score a century in every test and why Salman khan did not smile at Sharukh Khan when they met !!
We all know nothing happens to anyone who violates any civic or/and traffic rules or for that matter any rules !!

So Mr. President where did you find us intolerant and please be specific so that we can ‘improve’ further.

Special Miniature Tunnels For Turtles Built By Japan Railways

Special Miniature Tunnels For Turtles Built By Japan Railways

Japanese railroad companies have recently begun installing a cute way to allow turtles to safely cross train tracks without being harm, by building a mall tunnel or underpass below the tracks.

Turtles are often crushed by trains when the try to cross after getting stuck between the tracks, rails or track switches which then has a knock on effect on train delays. This invention created by Suma Aqualife Park in Kobe and the West Japan Railway Company solves the problem for everyone.

Japanese railroad companies have installed small tunnels to help turtles cross train tracks safely.

So this will no longer happen!

Muslim Hero Saves More People in Paris Attack Than Killed

Muslim Hero Saves More People in Paris Attack Than Killed

MUSLIM Hero security guard stopped suicide bomber from
entering Stade de France during Paris attacks

by Jamie Sanderson – 15 Nov 2015

Countless numbers of football fans could have been killed or
severely injured during the France v Germany match on Saturday
if it was not for the actions of one heroic security guard.

The Wall Street Journal reports that one of the suicide bombers involved
in the Paris attacks outside the Stade de France had a match ticket.

But as he tried to enter the stadium minutes after kick-off, a security
guard identified only as Zouheir located an explosive device after deciding
to search a man who attempted to get in near the players tunnel.

The bomber then backed away before
deciding to detonate his device.

Paris prosecutor Francois Molins apparently claimed that he was
wearing a vest which contained explosives and bolts, with the idea of
causing maximum damage once inside the stadium.

Shortly after this incident, a second suicide bomber detonated outside
the stadium, while a third also blew himself up at a nearby McDonalds.

One person died in the attacks, but it could
have been much, much, worse.

The Spirit Of Chennai

The Spirit Of Chennai
==================
While the entire nation is debating on the "Non-sense" called "Intolerance", there is humanity at its best in Chennai. I can tell this for sure because, I stay in Qatar and my family (wife and 2 kids aged 11 and 7) are in Chennai. With all the floods and problems, I am getting the message from them, "We are safe".
In the wake of calamity, Chennai is "One". It has only one religion, "Humanity"; It has only one enemy, "Water"; there is only one aim "Help". And they did it in style. When they were offering help, they didn’t ask whether you are "Hindu" or a "Christian" Or a "Muslim". They didn’t ask whether you are "Rich" or "Poor". They didn’t ask whether you are a "Tamlian", "Malayalee", "Telugu", "Kannadiga" or "North Indian". Only one question they asked; "Do you need any help?"
The rich people; my neighbors who never interacted with anybody in the neighborhood in last 4 years; opened the gates of their huge house. The man stood outside and welcomed people to his house. "We will eat whatever we have. We will share whatever we have. You can stay here until the water recedes"; that all he had said.. He accommodated around 35 people in his house. He is a Hindu Brahmin. He provided mat for the Muslims to do Namaz. He allowed Christians to pray in his Pooja room.
There were volunteers outside helping people to reach safe places. They used anything and everything as tool; until the army people reached. Once the experts came, they gave the leadership to the more experienced and helped them to help others. My wife told me that, there were group of people going through the streets with neck deep water and asking "Sir / Madam, do you need any help?" in front of every house. They provided whatever help they can and they distributed food and essentials. There were groups providing cellphone batteries for 5 minutes to anybody who want to talk.
I have seen people fight for food when there is a calamity. Even the most modern countries, when there is a calamity, people fight for food. They think only about themselves at that time. But, when the food was distributed in Chennai, it was calm. People stood in queues and they have given food for the people who are not able to stand in queues (elderly, mothers and kids). They brought boats. They made temporary rafts and just went on helping people.
On top of all these things, this is what my kids are seeing. This is what they are learning. How to help each other at the time of need. It goes straight into their brain. The images gets implanted there. And then, when there is another calamity, they know what to do.. How to survive.. How to get help and how to help others… This is what I want my kids to learn.. Humanity, without boundaries….
There is no wonder that, Chennai is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has survived everything thrown at it.. It will definitely remain so for ever. They are united. They can beat anything.. They can survive anything…

I am a proud Chennaiite… I will never forget this in my life! A city which gave me and my family safety in the hour of need.. Thank you Chennai!.. Thank you Indian Army ! Thank you India!!!

Samrat Vikramaditya Hemu Chandra The Great Hindu Ruler Who Nailed Terrorist Muslim Looters

Samrat Vikramaditya Hemu Chandra The Great Hindu Ruler Who Nailed Terrorist Muslim Looters

Hare Krishna
Hemchandra Bhargawa or Hemu (1501-1556), son of Rai Puran Das, born in Alwar Rajasthan was the Chief of Army Prime Minister during the regime of Adil Shah Suri of the Suri Dynasty. He fought 22 battles in a row without even a single setback before his emperor was captured and killed in Fathpur. In his 22nd victory on 7th October 1556 against Tardi Beg Khan of Humayun’s Army, he crowned himself as the Emperor of Delhi instead of establishing the Islamic Flag of Suri Dynasty. He took the name ‘Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya’. Some say that he was very much influenced by the famous Vijaynagar Empire of South and based his kingdom on those lines. Although Hemu’s rule was very short, he was able to struck coins bearing his name.

Early Life of Samrat Vikramaditya Hemu Chandra The Great

Terrorist mughal rulers were frightened and used means to almost destruct texts that gave information on the early life of Hemchandra Bhargawa. Not much is known about his childhood and early life. In fact, historians disagree about both his birth name and birth place. K.K. Bhardwaj claims that perhaps his original name was Basant Rai, Hem Rai, Hem Raj or Hem Chandra Bhargava. R.C. Majumdar writes that “he was born in a poor family of Dhansar section, living in a town in the southern part of Alwar”. Muslim historian Badayuni has described him as a resident of a small town called Rewari in the taluk of Mewat, and began his life as a green vendor. Others believe that he was a hawker in the town of Mewat . Historians mention that brought up in a religious environment, he was educated in Sanskrit, Hindi, Persian, Arabic and Arithmatic. He was also trained in Horse riding and was fond of wrestling (Kushti) . His rise to fame did not begin until late 1530s when he came in contact with the officers of Sher Shah Suri.

In the early 1500s, huge portions India were under afghan occupation. South India(vijayanagara’s), Rajputana, Orissa and Assam were the only parts of India that remained free. In Delhi, Lodi dynasty was ruling large parts of north India. Independent sultanates ruled Gujarat and Central India. Under the afgan occupation, Indians was already burdened by the crushing Jizya tax. At such point in 1526, a Central Asian tribal terrorist named Babur attacked India. His looters and armies marched from Kabul to Delhi via Punjab. In the first battle of Panipat (April 21, 1526) Babur defeated the joint armies of Ibrahim Lodi and Raja Vikramjit – king of Gwalior – and captured the throne of Delhi. Now Rajputs under the leadership of Rana Sangramsingh of Chittor challenged Babur. They were also supported by Hasan Khan Moe. But unfortunately their joint forces too were defeated by Babur in the battle of Khanwa. With this victory Babur now controlled north-western India as well as parts of Gangetic Plains.

Terrorist and Looter Babur’s March to Delhi from Samarkand (Uzbekistan)

After more than 450 years, it’s difficult to imagine how different those times were. For starters, Indian children of school going age did not learn to memorize ‘Babur the Brave’, ‘Akbar the Great’, ‘Aurangzeb the Cruel’! Indians then had rather simple criteria. They considered anyone who was not from India and had not a single drop of Indian blood in his body (Babar, Humayun and Akbar) but still wanted to rule India as a foreign aggressor. And indeed that’s how the perception of Indians regarding the Mughal period should be. Today, the geopolitics of South Asian subcontinent has changed so drastically, that it is easy to forget that the Kabul-Kandahar region – known as Gandhara in early days was considered very much a part of Indian civilization. With this perception in mind, the Afghans considered themselves as natives and were considered by Indians as natives of the land. Whereas Mughals – the Central Asian tribal people attacking India were obviously foreign aggressors. Now that explains why Raja of Gwalior offered his help to an Afghan ruler – Ibrahim Lodi or why Hasan Khan Meo chose to fight with Rana Sangramsingh rather than with Babur.

Terrorist and Looter and Gay Babur’s reign was nothing short of disaster for India in general and Hindus in particular. Terrorist Babur following koran killed millions of Hindus – men, women and children. Guru Nanak, who was a contemporary of Babur and witnessed cruelties of Babur’s armies on the people, wrote in detail about the atrocities committed by him and his troops. Guru Nanak poignantly wrote ‘The Creator has sent Babur the Mughal as Yama disguised. There was so much slaughter that the people screamed – Did n’t you feel compassion, Lord?’

Mercifully, Babur died (January 1531) before he could consolidate his hold on India and was succeeded by a weak son – Humayun. Sensing an opportunity, Sher Khan Suri – an Afghan commander of the Lodis – who was stationed in Bihar during Ibrahim Lodi’s rule, attacked Humayun. He defeated the Mughals in the battles of Chausa and Kanauj and drove them out of Delhi. He captured Delhi in May 1540, declared himself the emperor and took the name of Sher Shah Suri. His ascent was miraculous – born in a peasant family, he rose from the rank of a private and ultimately became the king of most of the northern India. After capturing Delhi, he pursued Humayun and chased the Mughal army out of India. Humayun survived only by fleeing to the refuge of the king of Iran. Sher Shah Suri’s victories, though ridding India from the foreign occupation for the time being, did not give respite to the large Indian populace.

The Rise of Hindu Emperor Hemu Chandra

Hem Chandra’s rise began at around this time. He was based in Rewari – 55 miles from Delhi – and started supplying cereals to Sher Shah’s army. Slowly he started other supplies like saltpeter (for gunpowder) to Sher Shah’s army and that’s when he came in contact with Ismail Shah – Sher Shah’s son. After Sher Shah’s death in 1545, Ismail Shah succeeded him. Recognizing Hem Chandra’s caliber, he initially appointed Hem Chandra as Shahang-i-Bazar, a Persian word meaning ‘Market Superintendent,’ who managed the mercantile system throughout the empire. This post gave Hem Chandra an opportunity to interact with the king frequently in order to apprise him of the trade and commercial situation of the kingdom. After proving his abilities as Market Superintendent, he rose to become Daroga-i-Chowki or Chief of Intelligence. Ismail Shah’s health deteriorated in 1552 and he shifted his base from Delhi to Gwalior, at which point he promoted Hem Chandra to Governor of Punjab. Hem Chandra held this position until Ismail Shah’s death in October 1553.

After his death, Ismail Shah’s nephew Adil Shah killed Ismail Shah’s 12 year old son Firuz and usurped the throne. But he was not a capable ruler. Soon after becoming king, he appointed Hem Chandra as his Wazir or Prime Minister and started neglecting his responsibilities. Unhappy with the murder of Firuz and Adil Shah’s overall incompetence, various members of the Suri dynasty revolted against him. Soon, the Suri kingdom got divided into 4 large pieces. Sikandar Suri declared himself the king of Punjab. Ismail Suri captured Delhi and Agra. Muhammad Suri declared himself the ruler of Bengal. Only Bihar up to the vicinity of Agra remained in possession of Adil Shah. In addition to these members of the royal family, many Afghan governors declared independence and refused to pay taxes to Adil Shah. During this time as Prime Minister, Hem Chandra proved his mettle. Commanding Adil Shah’s army, he fought numerous battles defeating each rebelling governor. He defeated and killed Muhammad Shah Suri – self appointed ruler of Bengal. He defeated Ibrahim Shah Suri twice. Most importantly, with these victories, he not only controlled the administration and the treasury, but also the victorious armies of the empire. In the meantime, Sikandar Suri too defeated Ibrahim Suri and captured Delhi and Agra.

Hem Chandra Entered Agra and Death of Terrorist Humayun

At this time, sensing the general anarchy and disintegration of his Afghan enemies, Humayun – thoroughly defeated by Sher Shah 15 years ago but sustained and supported by Iranian support, invaded India once again. His commander Bairam Khan easily defeated Sikandar Suri and reinstated Humayun to the throne of Delhi (July 1555). But Humayun’s control over his newly conquered kingdom was tenuous at best and he died in January 1556. Hem Chandra was in Bengal when Humayun died. Humayun’s death gave Hem Chandra an ideal opportunity to defeat the Mughals. With about 50,000 soldiers, he embarked on a winning march from Bengal through present day Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Many Mughal officers and commanders evacuated their positions and fled in panic on hearing the news of Hemu invasion. Hem Chandra’s army entered Agra without a fight. He was now poised to liberate Delhi from the foreign aggressors. With a string of lightening quick victories over his enemies, he commanded the respect of his forces and trust of his officers – both Indians and Afghan. At this point, rather than acting on behalf of an ineffective king, he declared himself as the king with the consent of his commanders.
Mughal general Bairam Khan, sensing the gravity of the situation, sent reinforcements to the Governor of Delhi – Tardi Beg Khan and the Mughal Army battled Hem Chandra’s forces in present day Tughlaqabad. In this battle, Hem Chandra arranged 300 elephants and selected cavalry in the center with loosely guarded front and flanks. As the battle began, Mughal forces overcame the front and even attacked Hem Chandra’s flanks. At one point it appeared as if Mughals had captured 3000 Afghan men and 400 elephants. Sensing victory, Mughal armies dispersed to plunder the enemy camp. At that point Hem Chandra charged on Tardi Beg’s camp with his reserved forces in the center. Seeing a force marching directly towards them and without any armies to stop them, the Mughal commanders fled from the battle field. The result was chaos in the Mughal forces and it resulted in their total defeat

Rajyaabhishek of Samrat Vikramaditya Hemu Chandra The Great Hindu Ruler

Sir Wolsey Haig writes, “Hemu was so elated by the capture of Delhi as to believe that he had already reached the goal of his ambition.”
Smith, who names Hemu the third claimant to the sovereignty of Hindustan at the time (the other two being the Suris and Akbar), asserts that Hemu after his occupation of Delhi came to the conclusion that he had a better claim to the throne for himself rather than on behalf of Adil Shah and ventured to assume the royal state under the style of Raja Vikramaditya or Vikramaditya, a title borne by several renowned Indian Kings in ancient times. Hemu assumed the royal robes and declared himself the Emperor of India under the title of Vikramaditya.
His Afghan officers were reconciled to the ascendancy of an infidel by a liberal distribution of plunder, and probably also by the fact that Hem Chandra had proved to be a successful general.
Hemu had his formal Indian Rajyabhishek or coronation at Purana Qila in Delhi on 7 October 1556in the presence of all the Afghan Sardars and Hindu Senapatis (military commanders).K. K.Bhardwaj says that thousands of guests were invited, along with various Rajput chiefs and Afghan governors and numerous scholars and Pandits. The festivities continued for three or four days.”Essential parts of a Hindu King’s coronation are”, writes Sir Jadunath Sarkar, “washing him (abbhishake) and holding the royal umbrella over his head (Chhatra-Dharam)” and Hemu must have followed these ancient traditions, accompanied by costly gifts and robes to priests. He made various appointments on the occasion, appointing his brother Jujharu Rai, governor of Ajmer and his nephew Rammayya, a general in his army. He also appointed his various supporters as Chhaudhuris andMuqqudams based on their merit so that they continued to maintain their respective positions in the reign of Akbar.

Thus Hemu became the first Indian emperor of North India in 350 years. According to Abul Fazl, in the Akbarnama, after winning Delhi Hemu had planned to attack and win Kabul. He made several changes in his army, including the recruitment of many Indians, but without the dismissal of any Afghan.

Able Administration Under Samrat Vikramaditya Hemu Chandra Rule

Because of long association with the Sur administration since the 1540s, first as a supplier of various items to Sher Shah Suri, then as Superintendent of Markets, Minister of Internal security and Governor of Punjab with Islam Shah, Prime Minister-cum-Chief of Army with Adil Shah, Hemu had great experience of administration and sound knowledge of how system works.
Although he did not have much time to rule, Hemu revitalised the administration that had flagged after the demise of Sher Shah Suri. With his knowledge of trade and commerce he gave fresh impetus to commerce throughout the country. He spared no-one, indulging in black-marketing, hoarding, overcharging and under-weighing of goods. After his conquest of Agra and Delhi, he replaced all corrupt officers. He also introduced coinage bearing his image.

Victorious Hem Chandra entered Delhi on October 6, 1556 as a sovereign. It’s difficult to imagine the exact thoughts in his mind. But it was a historical moment for India. After 350 years of almost unbroken afgan rule, a indian king had entered Delhi! Hem Chandra must be acutely aware of the significance of this moment. That is why he assumed the title of Vikramaditya – a title assumed by many illustriousindian emperors in the history of India! No wonder then that Muslim historians have described him in the nastiest of words. Badayuni – a bigot and fundamentalist – writes, ‘through treachery, deceit and fraud great Delhi fell into the hands of Hindu Hemun’ . He conveniently forgets that numerous great empires in the history of mankind have been built by great men coming from humble origins. In his own life, Hem Chandra had seen Babur and Sher Shah coming from nowhere to become emperors of northern India. As opposed to Akbar – who didn’t have a drop of Indian blood in his body and was leading an army of Turkic tribesmen with the support of Iran, Hem Chandra was a son of soil leading an army of natives – Afghans and Indians. Indeed he was leading a liberation army against foreign invaders! Moreover, it was Hem Chandra who was in charge of the administration, the treasury and the army and had a proven track record as an administrator and commander compared to Adil Shah Suri. So his behavior was not different than any able and ambitious victor. Hem Chandra was crowned at Purana Qila, on October 7, 1556 as ‘Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya’ in the presence of Afghan Sardarsand Hindu Senapatis(military commanders) . He struck coins bearing his title – one of the oldest ways of asserting sovereign status. The adjoining picture shows a painting of the occasion of his coronation, where he is flanked by his Afghan and indian military commanders. His Afghan officers were reconciled to the ascendancy of a Hindu to the throne probably for a variety of reasons – Hem Chandra distributed plunder liberally among his soldiers , he had proved to be a successful general in no less than 22 battles and probably also due to the fact that they were part of a native army fighting the invaders.

Hemchandra Second Battle of Panipat

Hem Chandra’s victories and coronation caused a lot of consternation among the Mughals. Many of Akbar’s commanders advised him to retreat to Kabul and wait for an opportune moment – like his father Humayun. However, Bairam Khan, the guardian of Akbar and chief strategist for army matters, insisted on fighting Hem Chandra in an effort to regain control of Delhi. Bairam Khan was well aware of the consequences of a loss. He and Akbar stayed back eight miles from the battle ground with preparations to flee as soon as possible to Kabul in case of a defeat.
On November 5, 1556, the Mughal army met Hem Chandra’s army at the historic battlefield of Panipat. It was the same battlefield where Terrorist Akbar’s grandfather had defeated Ibrahim Lodi 30 years ago. Unsurprisingly, Terrorist Bairam Khan motivated his army by a hate speech (like Pigs Owaisis does with traitor muslims of India) and ordered them to move for battle. Samrat Hem Chandra himself led his large army himself and leaving his main generals to stabilize is kingdom(one of the greatest mistakes that changed fate of india) sitting atop an elephant and was poised to achieve victory. But alas, destiny had something else in mind. All of a sudden the Emperor was hit in the eye by a stray arrow. In spite of that, Hem Chandra pulled the arrow by his hands and exhorted his forces to charge ahead. Unfortunately, he soon collapsed unconscious in his haudadue to severe bleeding. His collapse changed everything. Looking at their king collapsed, his armies lost heart, and no commander came forward to rise to the occasion and to make coordinated decisions. As a result of this confusion, Hem Chandra’s armies started losing the battle line – and an easy victory got converted into a disastrous defeat!
Unconscious, the almost dead Hem Chandra was captured by Shah Qulin Khan and carried to the camp of Akbar where he was beheaded by Bairam Khan. His head was sent to Kabul, where it was hung outside Delhi Darwaza, while his body was placed outside Purana Quila in Delhi – the same place where he was coroneted earlier. Thus, a courageous effort to liberate Bharatwarshafrom invaders came to an abrupt end! Akbar and Bairam Khan entered Delhi the next day. Genocide was ordered of the ‘community of Hemu’ – Indians and his main Afghan supporters. Thousands of indians were killed and minarets were built of the skulls of the dead. At least one painting of such minarets is displayed in ‘Panipat Wars Museum’ at Panipat in Haryana. Such minarets were still in existence about 60 years later as described by Peter Mundy, a British traveller who visited India during Jahangir time son of akbar.

Hindu Ruler Hem Chandra Loss in Battle was Loss of Hindu Empire

One cannot but feel disheartened at the tragic loss of Samrat Hem Chandra’s armies in the second battle of Panipat. Many historians mention this loss as Hem Chandra’s bad luck – it was in fact India’s bad luck! When it appeared that after 350 years of oppression Indians of North India would finally see the light of freedom – occupation returned with a greater force and cohesion. The Central Asian Mughals remained a dominant power in India until 1709 – the death of Aurangzeb. And it was not until 1737 that a Indian army – the Marathas – finally reached Delhi.

But Hem Chandra’s defeat does not make his valiant effort any less significant. First of all, he was born in an ordinary family and rose by sheer dint of hard work. He was not born in a traditional Kshatriyafamily, but his acts of bravery made him one – and even barbarian mughals – could not stop him from becoming an Emperor. Although he was a Hindu under Islamic rule, he did not remain content to be a mere king-maker – but declared himself a sovereign when an opportune moment came! And he did so in style – assuming the title of Vikramaditya was a clear sign of his desire to present his rule as a continuum of the ancient traditions of India. He was the last Indian who became the ruler of Delhi and might have been successful in creating a Indian dynasty, had he got apt support from contemporary Hindu Kings.
Hemu Chandra and his Hindu soldiers were attacked at night and were killed, with their heads fixated in the tower of heads shown below. Women, Children of Hindu soldiers were also killed thereafter.

Introspection Need to be Done by Hindus

The most disappointing aspects on the life of Hem Chandra is – Why did no Hindu took inspiration from him? Why did no one tried to be a Samratafter Hem Chandra? Did the genocides at the hands of Terrorist Mughals terrorize Hindus to such an extent that they became discouraged ? Within 15 years of Hem Chandra’s defeat, Hindus suffered major setbacks. Terrorist Mughals soon dominated most of Rajputana and in 1568 defeated the king of Orissa – Mukundadeva. In 1565, Deccan Looter Sultanates defeated Aliya Rama Raya of Vijayanagara Empire in the Battle of Talikota . Why did Hindu Kings of that time never tried to unite against terrorist muslims, while these anti-Vedic mlecchas (muslim invaders) were orchestrating genocides of Hindus.
One easy explanation is that history is written by the victors. So, no wonder that Hem Chandra’s character was painted in the darkest possible colors by historians. Even to the British rulers, he was naturally inconvenient. Why would they be interested in informing Indians about a man who challenged foreign occupation and attempted to liberate the country? But unfortunately, even after independence, he is neglected by his brothers. In this scheme of things our government is playing, and there in capabilities there is no place for a liberator of Indians who stands as a contradiction to such fantasies. So, history textbooks in India usually neglect him as a mere foot-note in Akbar’s life.
But neglect by historians is not the only reason. It has also to do with the unfortunate lack of collective historical consciousness among Indians. It is so stark that even a persian historian like Al-Beruni laments at one point that “unfortunately the Indians do not pay much attention to the historical order of things!” This attitude of Indians has resulted in a pathetic situation in which Bollywood makes movies about real or imaginary events in Akbar’s life – in the process eulogizing a foreign invader; but hardly anyone knows about Hem Chandra’s efforts. It is said that a society is judged by how it treats its worse-off. What should one say about the Indian society that neglects even the best among itself?
We Indians know everything but we don’t know ourselves someone has to come from outside to educate us. If anyone among us try to educate we won’t listen to him until foreigner says yes He is correct then we believe him, but not what our brother said but the words came from a foreigner mouth. Come on India we have a great culture and history we have great universities way back 1000bc that’s was 2500 years before any modern universities come in to existing our societies are highly developed on education, culture ,infrastructure, what not everything we reached heights of development in human indexing there is no point to get lessons from so called west . It was our history that makes what we are today so doesn’t neglect it. Please Know what we are and from where we came from.

Hindus Must Learn from Legacy and Become Brave Bharatiya to Terminate Mlecchas (Traitors)

So it’s up to us to rectify this mistake! We all Hindus should get united revoking caste/creed/tribe/language and any difference that was imposed on us so that the ever increasing population of non-Vedic, non-Hindu people do not attain dominating position in Bharat again.
As the descendants of our rich culture and heritage, it’s our duty to strive hard to promote legacy of great Hindu Rulers like Shivaji Maharaj, MahaRana Pratap, Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya to make them regain true place that they deserve in the Indian history.
Our history should revoke all terrorist mughals from their curriculum in schools and research papers. For this, we need our education ministry to take note of our great past. We need to stop islamization and catholicization of India.
