How our banks rely on a private company like CIBIL. One of our friends had obtained OD for his shop in a leading private bank by furnishing his PAN card and ration card. He has taken only one OD. But after some two years he has approached another bank for personal loan. There he was told that as per CIBIL report about 15 loans are pending. He was taken aback and applied for CIBIlL report by paying about Rs. 500/- He found that 15 loans are pending and after protracted emails and telephonic calls the 14 not related loans were removed by CIBIL. The RBI and Govt.of India should ban CIBIL, a private concern to get all there details from banks. The defaulters list be maintained by a Govt. agency like RBI.
