IN BHAGWAT GITA LORD KRISHNA SAYS
” ANANYAS CHINTAYANTOMAM YE JANAHA PARYUPAASATE
TESHAM NITYABHIYUKTANAAM YOGAKSHEMAM VAHAAMYAHAM”
WHICH MEANS ” I SHALL BE THE SAVIOUR FOR ALL THOSE WHO WORSHIP ME WITHOUT ANY SELFISH DESIRES AND SHALL FULLY TAKE CARE OF THEM.
IN TODAY’S WORLD WE ARE ALL SO SELFISH AND ARE ALWAYS IN PURSUIT OF MATERIALISTIC OBJECTS AND WORLDLY PLEASURES THAT WE TEND TO CRITICISE GOD WHENEVER OUR DESIRES ARE NOT FULFILLED. ONE SANSKRIT SCHOLAR WHO USED TO CONDUCT SERMONS DECIDED TO TEST THIS SHLOKA AND STOPPED DOING HIS DAILY CHORES AND WAS ALWAYS CHANTING LORD KRISHNA’S NAME. WHEN HIS WIFE ASKED HIM ABOUT THIS, HE SAID THAT SINCE LORD HAS PROMISED IN BHAGWAT GITA HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE SCHOLAR’S FAMILY. DAYS PASSED ON WHEN NOTHING CAME FROM ANYWHERE FOR HIS FAMILY, THE SCHOLAR STRUCK OFF THAT SHLOKA WITH BLACK INK  IN THE SACRED TEXT SAYING THAT GOD HAS CHEATED HIM AND HAD NOT TAKEN CARE OF HIM OR HIS FAMILY. HIS WIFE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND BUT KEPT MUM AS SHE WAS A OBEDIENT PATIVRATA NAARI. THAT AFTERNOON WHEN THE SCHOLAR HAD GONE FOR TAKING BATH IN THE RIVER A SMALL BOY CAME WITH SWEETS AND EATABLES BUT HIS FACE WAS PAINTED BLACK. HE APPROACHED SCHOLAR’S WIFE AND SAID ” MOTHER, WHERE IS GURUJI? I’VE BROUGHT SOME SWEETS AND EATABLES FOR HIM. THE WIFE OF THE SCHOLAR COULD NOT UNDERSTAND AS THE SCHOLAR WAS SO EGOISTIC THAT HE NEVER HAD ANY STUDENT IN HIS LIFE.BUT THAT BOY WHO HAD DIVINE LOOK SO ADAMANT TO LEAVE ALL THE THINGS HE HAD BROUGHT AT HER DOORSTEP AND WENT LOOKING FOR THE SCHOLAR. WHEN THE SCHOLAR CAME BACK HE WAS SURPRISED TO SEE ALL THE EATABLES AND SWEETS AT HIS DOORSTEP. HE CAME TO KNOW THAT A DIVINE CHILD WITH FACE PAINTED BLACK HAD LEFT THESE THINGS. HIS WIFE TOLD HIM ENTIRE STORY. HE WAS SO MOVED AS HE UNDERSTOOD THE MEANING OF THE SHLOKA AND PRAISED HIS WIFE FOR HAVING THE DARSHAN OF KRISHNA KANHAIYA WHO HAD COME TO BLESS HIM BUT BECAUSE OF HIS EGO AND MATERIALISTIC PURSUIT HE DID NOT GET THE DARSHAN. HE REPENTED AND CRIED AT HIS MISFORTUNE. THAT NIGHT HE WAS SURPRISED WHEN SOME ONE KNOCKED HIS DOOR AND KRISHNA KANHAIYA WAS STANDING THERE. THE SCHOLAR ASKED FOR FORGIVENESS FOR HIS MATERIALISTIC PURSUITS AS HE HAD UNDERSTOOD THE REAL MEANING OF THE SHLOKA AS THE BENEFACTOR AND OMNIPOTENT LORD KRISHNA SHOWED HIM THE DIVINE LIGHT AND BLESSED HIM TO JOI9N HIM AT VAIKUNT.
THE MORAL IS DO NOT BE SELFISH AND MATERIALISTIC AND ALWAYS BE THANKFUL TO YOUR BENEFACTOR WHO HAS GIVEN YOU THIS HUMAN FORM. WORSHIP HIM WITH SELFLESS ATTITUDE AND DIVINE LIGHT IS NOT FAR FROM YOU.
