The Power of Mantras

“Om Suklam Baradaram Vishnum Sasivarnam Chaturbhujam
Prasannavadanam Dyaye Sarva Vignopa Santaye”

According to Hindu mythology, any person who starts any work in any day will recite the above mantra. The above mantra is to please Lord Vigneswara, the first God to receive the prayers, to bestow His blessing on him in the work to be completed without any obstacles. Without performing puja by reciting the above mantra to the Lord, no one starts any venture and to that effect any work.

Mantras are more powerful tools to the common persons in this Yuga to fulfill their desires and ward of negative effects. Historically, power of mantras have been tested time and again. Mantras are nothing but a combination of combination of words. If mantras uttered rhythmically and repeatedly, the mantras create a vibration that lead to an ultimate well being of a person. The whole existence of the world is nothing but a vibration of energy. Where there is a vibration, there is bound to be sound. The whole existence is nothing but sound. Mantras also contain sound and it becomes the source of enormous vibrations and infinite power. Mantras also contain sound, the sound of God. Mantras were revealed to our sages for the benefit of the mankind by God himself.

Almost all Vedic Mantras start with the basic mantra ‘OM’ that is the expressive sound symbol of God. These mantras are very powerful and when uttered repeatedly with utmost faith, devotion and dedication, they become the source of the infinite power.

According to Gita, there are three ways to realize God viz., Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. In the present Kali Yuga, Bhakti yoga has been stated to give immediate results.

If mantras are chanted mechanically, it is of no use except waste of time. Total devotion and surrender to the deity to whom the mantra is supposed to propriate is a must. Your faith in the Lord has to be total. Then only, you will be able to reach the goal and be benefited by the blessings of God.

Mantras are more powerful if uttered with utmost devotion, dedication and in totality. In fact, a common man, a manta is an occult formula to remove various worries and troubles. It is a tool to get one’s desire fulfilled through positive vibrations.
