Improve your Chances of Getting a Train Ticket on the IRCTC Website

The IRCTC website offers train tickets on a first-come first-served basis. You can autofill the form and and improve your chances of getting a Tatkal ticket.

If you have ever tried booking an online train ticket on the Indian Railways website (irctc.co.in), you know the importance of time especially when you are planning to make a train reservation under the Tatkal* scheme.

railways reservation form

Ticket Booking – Every Second Counts

The IRCTC website opens up for reservations at 8 AM and, unless you are an extremely fast touch-typist, the seats are often gone by the time you fill this passenger details form. The website operates on a first-come first-served basis so if you can fill the reservation form in lesser amount of time, it may improve your chances of getting a train ticket.

That’s where Magic Autofill can help. It’s a simple online tool that will fill the passenger details form on the IRCTC website with the click of a button thus giving you an upper hand.

Here’s how the tool works. Go to ctrlq.org/irctc around ten minutes prior to the opening of the booking window and complete the form – its an almost exact replica of the form that’s available on the Indian railways website. Once you’ve filled the passenger details, hit I’m Feeling Lucky and the tool will generate a Magic Autofill button that you need to drag to your bookmarks toolbar.

Now when you on the Indian Railways website to book tickets, just click the same Magic Autofill button on your bookmarks toolbar and voilà! The reservation form is filled automatically and you can directly proceed to the payment screen.

What happens behind the scene? You are essentially pre-filling a form and saving it as a bookmark. Next when you are on the actual form, you click the bookmark to transfer the previously filled values to your new form.

Video – Book Train Tickets on IRCTC with Autofill

Sometimes the IRCTC form may not have every field that’s available on the Magic Autofill website (say Food preference or ID details) and in that case, you can just ignore these fields on the Magic Autofill site. It’s always a good idea to do a test run and fill only the fields that are required for your particular train.

[*] The Tatkal booking on the IRCTC website opens at 08:00 hours a day in advance excluding the day of journey from the train’s source station. You’ll also have to provide an ID number on the online reservation form of all passengers for Tatkal tickets.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is extracted from the olive fruits and there are numerous olive groves in Portugal today in the regions of Norte Alentjano, the hills of the Moura region, the upper Douro and the Tras-os-Montes in the northern part of Portugal. The various climatic and geographical factors aid and facilitate its production in these regions. Since 1986, after Portugal became a member of the European Union, olive oil has begun to be exported to various parts of the world and according to recent figures, Portugal is ranked eighth in the world market.

Olive oil has manifold advantages and in fact it can be regarded as a product that has no negative side effects at all. There are various advantages of the olive oil produced upon extraction from the olive fruit and its functions are many. It is considered extremely healthybecause of the high proportion of polyphenols and monounsaturated fats like oleic acid which it contains. They have a variety of uses in cosmetics, soaps, as fuels for lighting oil lamps, cooking and medicinal purposes. Olive oils have great digestive properties which ensure swift digestion because of their low acidity levelsFor beauty and skin care regimens, olive oil is an important ingredient as it helps to smoothen and soften dry scaly skin.

Since ancient times, olive oil has been used in various religious rituals amidst the Jews and Christians and it has even found mention in the holy Quran which is the Muslim Holy text. However, the most significant functions of the olive oil are in terms of medicinal uses. As a necessary requisite of the Mediterranean diet, it is very beneficial for curing various heart diseases. It is rich in natural antioxidants like Vitamin E which is also aids in reducing blood pressure and cholesterol. It is also at times used as a laxative.

Olive oil benefits are numerousHeres my list of

10 good reasons to use extra virgin olive oil.

Enter your search termsSubmit search form

1. Its Natural! the best of olive oil benefits. Extra virgin olive oil is nothing but fruit juice extracted mechanically from olive fruit. There is no heat or chemicals used in the extraction process. My favourite and the most beneficial is a fresh organic unfiltered extra virgin olive oil. Follow this link for more information about olive oil grades.

2. Flavour It just tastes good. I guess I would have to say it is an acquired taste and some people just dont like the bitter characteristic of some oils. There are olive varieties known for their mild flavour and olive oil pressed from ripe olives is smooth, mellow and buttery.
substitute olive oil for butter

3. Nutritional Value vitamins E, K, and A as well as polyphenols, squalene, oleocanthol, triterpenes and hundreds more micronutrients make olive oil a healthy choice. Read more about olive oil nutrients.

4. Oleic Acid oleic acid (omega 9) makes up 55 85 percent of the fatty acids in olive oil. Dont confuse this with the amount of free oleic acid which is the main factor used to determine the grade of the olive oil and the lower the better. Its great for your skin read about common oils used in soaps and how they can do so much more than just clean your skin at romancing-the-soap.com Oleic acid aids in keeping our arteries supple and helps prevent cancer.

5. Hydrogenated Oils olive oil is not hydrogenated oil. Hydrogenation creates dangerous trans-fats found in margarine and many other packaged foods. Please read this page for more information about hydrogenated oil and trans-fats.

6. Heart Health and Cholesterol extra virgin olive oil is high in polyphenols (a powerful antioxidant) and monounsaturated fat which contributes to lowering bad cholesterol. Read more about this health benefit here.

7. Cancer researchers at the University of Oxford believe that olive oil may be just as effective in the prevention of colon cancer as fresh fruits and veggies. A diet rich in olive oil has been shown to reduce the incidence of colon., breast and skin cancers.

8. Blood Pressure Studies now indicate that extra virgin olive oil may help to lower blood pressure. Patients were able to reduce or eliminate the need for medications when olive oil was consumed on a regular basis.

9. Alzheimers this disease is associated with the clogging of arteries caused by cholesterol and saturated fat. Replacing other fats with olive oil will reduce the risk.

10. Gallstones Olive oil promotes the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones naturally and lowers the incidence of gallstones.

There are more olive oil benefits. Its great for skin and hair care, used in natural remedies, and is a more versatile cooking oil than you may think.

Olive oils health benefits
The greatest exponent of monounsaturated fat is olive oil, and it is a prime component of the Mediterranean Diet. Olive oil is a natural juice which preserves the taste, aroma, vitamins and properties of the olive fruit. Olive oil is the only vegetable oil that can be consumed as it is freshly pressed from the fruit.

The beneficial health effects of olive oil are due to both its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and its high content of antioxidative substances. Studies have shown that olive oil offers protection against heart disease by controlling LDL (bad) cholesterol levels while raising HDL (the good cholesterol) levels. (1-3) No other naturally produced oil has as large an amount of monounsaturated as olive oil -mainly oleic acid.

Olive oil is very well tolerated by the stomach. In fact, olive oils protective function has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis. Olive oil activates the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones much more naturally than prescribed drugs. Consequently, it lowers the incidence of gallstone formation.

Olive oil and heart disease
Studies have shown that people who consumed 25 milliliters (mL) about 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil daily for 1 week showed less oxidation of LDL cholesterol and higher levels of antioxidant compounds, particularly phenols, in the blood.(4)

But while all types of olive oil are sources of monounsaturated fat, EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, from the first pressing of the olives, contains higher levels of antioxidants, particularly vitamin E and phenols, because it is less processed.

Olive oil is clearly one of the good oils, one of the healing fats. Most people do quite well with it since it does not upset the critical omega 6 to omega 3 ratio and most of the fatty acids in olive oil are actually an omega-9 oil which is monounsaturated.

Olive oil and colon cancer
Spanish researchers suggest that including olive oil in your diet may also offer benefits in terms of colon cancer prevention (5). Their study results showed that rats fed diet supplemented with olive oil had a lower risk of colon cancer than those fed safflower oil-supplemented diets. In fact, the rats that received olive oil had colon cancer rates almost as low as those fed fish oil, which several studies have already linked to a reduction in colon cancer risk.

Types of olive oil
Generally, olive oil is extracted by pressing or crushing olives. Olive oil comes in different varieties, depending on the amount of processing involved. Varieties include:

Extra virgin considered the best, least processed, comprising the oil from the first pressing of the olives.
Virgin from the second pressing.
Pure undergoes some processing, such as filtering and refining.
Extra light undergoes considerable processing and only retains a very mild olive flavour.

When buying olive oil you will want to obtain a high quality EXTRA VIRGIN oil. The oil that comes from the first pressing of the olive, is extracted without using heat (a cold press) or chemicals, and has no off flavors is awarded extra virgin status. The less the olive oil is handled, the closer to its natural state, the better the oil. If the olive oil meets all the criteria, it can be designated as extra virgin.

What is pure and light olive oil? Pure olive oil is made by adding a little extra virgin olive oil to refined olive oil. It is a lesser grade oil that is also labeled as just olive oil in the U.S.

Light olive oil is a marketing concept and not a classification of olive oil grades. It is completely unregulated by any certification organizations and therefore has no real precedent to what its content should be. Sometimes, the olive oil is cut with other vegetable oils.

How to care for your olive oil
Resist the temptation to place your beautiful bottle of olive oil on the windowsill. Light and heat are the #1 enemy of oilKeep olive oil in a cool and dark place, tightly sealed. Oxygen promotes rancidity. Olive oil is like other oils and can easily go rancid when exposed to air, light or high temperatures.

You can of course buy extra virgin olive oil in any grocery store.

C. V. Raman – The Great Indian Physicist
Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, FRS (7 November 1888 – 21 November 1970) was an Indian physicist. He was the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1930 for the discovery that when light traverses a transparent material, some of the light that is deflected changes in wavelength. This phenomenon is now called Raman scattering and is the result of the Raman effect…

This was how the Taj Mahal was protected from bomber jets in 1942 during world war.
It was covered with huge scaffold, to make it look like a stockpile of bamboo and misguide bombers.

The covering is still incomplete in this photo. The whole of Taj Mahal was covered but this picture shows only the main dome covered. The govt. didn’t allow any photographers later to shoot the final scaffold cover.

During the India-Pakistan war in 1971, it was protected by covering it with a green cloth and making it almost invisible i.e. camouflaged within the greenery around it.
Even in 2001, after the Sep 11 attack, Archaeological Survey of India took up the precautionary measure to cover it with cloth and it took them more than 20 days to do that!!

Believe it or not- love and bonding

Three Brothers
They make an unlikely trio, but Baloo the bear, Leo the lion and Sher Khan the tiger have forged an unusually strong bond.

Considering that they would be mortal enemies if they ever were to meet in the wild,
it is stunning to see their unique and genuine friendship in these intimate pictures.

Rescued eight years ago during a police drugs raid in Atlanta , Georgia , the three friends were only cubs at the time at barely two months old.

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net

They had been kept as status symbol pets by the drug barons.

Delivered to the Noah’s Ark Animal Rescue Centre in Locust Grove , Georgia , the decision was made
to keep the youngsters together, because of their budding rapport.

‘We could have separated them, but since they came as a kind of family, the zoo decided
to keep them together,’ said Diane Smith, assistant director of Noah’s Ark.

‘To our knowledge, this is the only place where you’ll find this combination of animals together.’

Living with the zoo’s founders for the past eight years, Sher Khan, Baloo and Leo have now moved
to a purpose-built habitat where the US public can now witness first hand their touching relationships.

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net

‘We didn’t have the money to move them at first,’ said Diane.

‘Now their habitat is sorted and they have been moved away from the children’s zoo areas
where the public couldn’t really get a good look.

‘It is possible to see Baloo, who is a 1000lb bear, Sher Khan, a 350lb tiger and Leo, who is also 350lbs,
messing around like brothers.

‘They are totally oblivious to the fact that in any other circumstance they would not be friends.’

Handled by Charles and Jama Hedgecoth, the zoo’s owners and founders,
the three friendly giants appear to have no comprehension of their animal differences.

‘Baloo and Sher Khan are very close,’ says Diane.

‘That is because they rise early, and as Leo is a lion, he likes to spend most of the day sleeping.

‘It is wonderful and magical to see a giant American Black Bear put his arm around a Bengal
and then to see the tiger nuzzle up to the bear like a domestic cat.

‘When Leo wakes up the three of them mess around for most of the day before they settle down to some food.’

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net

Surprisingly for three apex predators with the power to kill with a single bite or swipe of their paw,
they are very relaxed around each other.

‘They eat, sleep and play together,’ said Jama.

‘As they treat each other as siblings they will lie on top of each other for heat and simply for affection.

‘At the moment they are getting used to their new habitat.

‘Sher Khan is being quite reticent about the move, but Baloo, the bear, is very good at leading him on
and making him feel comfortable and safe.’

Explaining that the three ‘brothers’ have always seemed to share a unique bond,
Charles said: ‘Noah’s Ark is their home and they could not possibly be separated from each other.

‘You just have to remember who you’re dealing with when you are with them, though.

‘It’s when you forget that these fellows are wild animals that you get yourself in trouble.’

The trio’s new habitat had to be constructed carefully, in order to accommodate its occupants.

Jama said: ‘The clubhouse had to be very sturdy for the guys, because they all sleep in it together,’

She added: ‘We had to include a creek, because the tiger and the bear both like to be in water.’

Humour- When Engineer goes to Hell

When Engineers go to hell..

An engineer dies and reports to the Pearly Gates.

Saint Peter checks his dossier and, not seeing his name there, accidentally sends him to Hell.

It doesn’t take long before the engineer becomes rather dissatisfied with the level of comfort in Hell.

He soon begins to design and build improvements. Shortly thereafter, Hell has air conditioning, flush toilets and escalators. Needless to say, the engineer is a pretty popular guy.

One day, God calls Satan and says with a sneer: “So, how are things in Hell?”

Satan replies: “Hey, things are going great. We’ve got air conditioning, flush toilets, and escalators. And there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next.”

“What!” God exclaims: “You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake — he should never have been sent to Hell… send him to me.”

“Not a chance,” Satan replies: “I like having an engineer on the staff, and I’m keeping him!”

God insists: “Send him back or I’ll sue.”

Satan laughs uproariously and answers: “Yeah, right. And where are you going to get a lawyer?”

Ingredients of a soul

The Original Ingredients Of The Soul

Our original resources are very simply – peace, love, purity, knowledge and happiness. These are called the five original qualities of the soul.

When we return our consciousness to these five qualities and remember them, then the following feelings arise in us, which finally get reflected in our actions:

·                       Love –  care and  share.

·         Peace – harmonize and reconcile (adjust).

·        Purity – respect and honour.

·        Knowledge – What I am and the purpose of our existence.

·        Happiness – express and enjoy.

To understand and remember these qualities, we need to recognize the heavy deep shadows or personality traits (“sanskars”) which have blotted them out, or polluted them.

Sometimes we don’t recognize the pollutants because they have ingrained themselves so deeply into the personality that we say ‘I am this’. True, complete spiritual knowledge, makes us aware of these pollutants and the practice of meditation empowers us to dilute them and get them out of our consciousness.

Nothing is permanent in this universe, including our so called “beautiful body”.

To make money, we lose our health and

Then to restore our health, we lose our money…

We all live with the HOPE that we are never going to die

And we die as if we never lived…

There are two eternities that can really break you down. Yesterday & Tomorrow. One is gone and the other doesn’t exist…So…My Dear Friends…Please do not forget to live yourself during the GOD gifted beautiful life…otherwise when you realize that you have forgotten to live running after the material world, it will be too late…so..Live Today…Live happily…enjoy the GOD gifted beautiful life
